@chris-king said in Indian Super League:

Thanks for this thread. I have traded matches on this league in the past and watched them on Bet365 with English commentary. It all seems pretty legit considering how many matches get suspended at kick off for the entire duration.
I’ve had 3 on my test filter/s recently and all have been suspended so could not test them.
In my personal experience whenever I ask Betfair chat ‘Why?’ I only ever get told ‘it’s something the bookmakers are dealing with’ or similar, and never a clear answer or reason.

No probs, as I was saying earlier it was good to get another opinion on this. I never went as far as contacting Betfair directly. I hate dealing with anything on Live Chat, and any of my previous dealings of dealing with any live chat in this industry can be at times like talking to the wall so I usually never bother unless its affecting my pocket directly. I get a laugh out of them though sometimes especially with my Matched Betting accounts, one week they are giving me Free Bets via live chat when I have queried an offer they had as I am a "LOYAL CUSTOMER" and the next week I am gubbed. Gotta love that.Though its interesting what their response was though.

@johnnys it may be best with these to post either in the football thread or create your own thread for selections (you can use different sports for that) makes it easier for us to get notified then.

@Darri Yes it definitely helped a lot, as did your advice and now I am feeling more like a proper trader.

As for the leagues, yes I had worked that one out, just from having a look around.i did it mainly just to test a couple of little things out for myself.

Focus is on the main leagues now, so looking forward to it

Thanks and I will ask don't worry bout that!

@dave-hayes i started with Late goals, iv moved my trading from an inplay trader to a more set and forget approach. Even as a profitable trader im still always adapting to what suits me best and working out a way to make everything as simple and repeatable as possible. Nothing worse than getting into a strat that requires too much thinking as thats when mistakes can eat into your P/L.

Its all in what suits you best. If ltd is your focus work out if you want a set approach or a inplay trade out approach. This will be different for everyone and there is no magic yes/no to this. The proof is in how you want to trade it and then that being backed up by data/proven track record of winning. So for the next 3-4 months paper trade these, with no money on. In 3-4 months come back to this post and youll have amassed a good data set to decide what is and is not working. Tracking and then improving is what changes a trader from beginner to profitable fastest. Iv yet to meet a trader iv helped that hasnt made that part work. The ones that dont tend to struggle.

If you need help you have me and other good traders on here to help.

@mrs-h-m-price For me I just look at where the players have had to come from who I would need to perform.

Example of this would be South American players - that's a big flight, how are they looking in the game etc...

I have been tracking the data, but only been checking the stats filter once a day, so may have missed some. All losses are worked out using bet explorer.

Exactly that the odds can change, don't over think it the ones on the daily emails have been proven profitable - add in your own tracking as well and you'll be golden

@steve-sandell out of interest you said about how a 2% drop off to the norm has now become unprofitable? Thats worrying that your edge isnt better here?
