See You in the Future?
Hey – just wanted to share this with you, and feel free to ask questions if you're curious about how I'm actually making this happen.
It’s about cryonics – the idea of preserving the brain after death, with the hope of being revived in the future.
Maybe in 100–200 years – or even sooner, if medical science and AI keep evolving at the pace they are now. Some estimates say we might reach the necessary breakthroughs in as little as 50 years. Here’s what I’ve done so far:
Funds secured: 900,000 SEK already set aside to cover the full procedure.
Neuro-only preservation: I’ve opted to preserve only the brain, not the whole body.
Provider selected: Tomorrow Biostasis, based in Berlin. My brain will be stored at the European Biostasis Foundation in Switzerland.
Emergency response ready: A local standby team in Stockholm will step in immediately upon legal death to begin body cooling and preservation before transport.
Legal documents: Some paperwork needs to be in place, including:
Organ donor registry
Medical journal updates
Notification to next of kin
Checklist in progress: There’s a whole to-do list to make sure nothing gets missed.
Life insurance: Costs about 400 SEK/month. If I die due to illness or accident, the insurance covers the cryo costs. If I don’t, the money stays available for my children.
What happens next?
If the tech works… maybe we’ll see each other in 150 years? Who knows, we could be betting or trading in a whole new age!Curious to hear your thoughts – maybe we’ll form a future alliance?

@Patrik-Mellqvist Interesting stuff.
I haven't personally seen anything that makes me think it will be possible in my lifetime but if it was, I'd definitely look into it.
I'd probably want to leave it longer to be revived though and see what's going on in 1000 years.
Presumably you'd need some way of being prepared for whatever novel viruses exist when you're revived...
