Yes, taking advantage of NBA player rotations makes a lot of sense.

In terms trading T20 there are some absolute gurus in here who can give some great advice. There is also a podcast on cricket trading which really peaked my interest. The key strategy looks at taking advantage of market overreactions to wickets, 4’s and 6’s. @Martin-Futter is the guru and can talk to this much better than I.

Myself, I’ve been looking at laying faves batting 1st (teams batting 2nd winning rate currently 60%) and in particular ones who have lost early wickets. It’s been pretty successful for me so far this BBL.

worth following and speaking to @Richard-Futter and @Luke-Ridger in the cricket thread all of my knowledge has come from their excellent advice!

@sean-fitzgerald I have not had any issues or warnings from them mate. My bank is a well known Australian bank, it's registered to my home address in SA, My understanding is (someone correct me if I'm wrong) Betfair accounts are registered as international except for Romania, so the live betting depends on your geographical location, which makes it easy for us to use a VPN. Perhaps the persons who have had their accounts shut down were using a low-grade security VPN that wasn't enough to cover their tracks? That would be my thought as why some have had their accounts shut down, but your guess is as good as mine!

Also, how have you been going with your NBA trading mate? I love NBA pre-game betting, but don't have any good trading strategies. Cheers mate

Echo the book @Chris-Watts has said its a good one, I've started using Headspace as well the last few years - took me a while to get into mediation but it does work.

    Thanks Ryan,
I'm watching the videos, including your 30 days as a trader and looking at the scalping that Martin posted.
Also finding my way around the forums! I'll be more active after the festive frenzy and I get more chance to sit and look through everything.
The community looks good and I'm going to get to grips with the filters on the software side to help identify opportunities.

@salvatore-antonio-valenza they are the results of your filter so if your 1st criteria is Over 2.5 goals %, the answer will be something like 50%

    @alan-j-burandt Welcome to the team!

Probably good timing as I'm considering taking the jump into Bet Angel thanks to the offer of £50 off!

I've been playing with Geeks Toy (which is £40 cheaper for the year) but the temptation of automation and all the other features BA has, I think it's probably worth the extra money to get involved.

@michael-chapman you ramble on all you want, I am learning so much from these posts. One of the things I am always curious of is how can we make BTC better, what can we build that actually helps.

So it's all in the maths and the videos help. I want to create a really nice structure so people don't feel lost at all. This interests me and some kind of in play scanner thing as well to help.

So whether to trade out or leave, its all in the maths is my answer. When I test something I compare both, sometimes I get a feel early doors it just won't work for set and forget (betting) and then I stick with trading but sometimes you un earth a gem which works for both!

@keith-anderson Ok thanks for the advice. I'm going to stick to one market and only trade when the market gives me the opportunity.
Quick question when you LTD at half time would you put all of your stake in or split it?

You have to do what you're comfortable with. If you can't afford the loss then your stake is too high - lower it. LTD will frustrate you, especially when the underdog takes the lead and you may have to take a small loss on the trade. You have to be comfortable with losses. Building your bankroll and making consistent profit may take months. If you're in a hurry to make money, then you'll be disappointed (your trades are likely to be gambles).

I like to see people succeed in trading. In truth, most don't. That's the harsh reality. If it was easy then everyone would be doing it. Success or failure will utimately be down to one person - You!

    Hey!

This is interesting, I am very interested in creating something for pre-race as well so as a community we can trade these markets. I am also interested in odds compiling methods.

Great to have you, any Q's let me know!

@ryan-carruthers Thanks for the welcome Ryan and others its much appreciated.

Big game tomorrow and hopefully the reds can kickstart the weekend with a big lunchtime win. Lloris and Alli missing for Spurs could help us too.

Good luck with today's and this weekends trades.

@fishoutofwater have you read through the blog? look for articles that are about how to trade rather than articles on upcoming sporting events and there is a hell of a lot of good info there, you won't be a fish out of water any longer! https://betfairtradingcommunity.com/en/blog/
