Hi everyone. Just signed up today to the Community. Been matched betting for around 18 months now and made a decent enough profit, but running out of steam now. I've tried a few trades using small stakes over the last couple of months with mixed results making a small net loss at the moment. Just hoping this group will make all the difference. The stats area looks very impressive and easy to use to create filters. I also like the fact that you can export the results to Excel for further manipulation.
Looking forward to some profitable angles from the experts.
Happy days!!!!
Michael

@michael-chapman you ramble on all you want, I am learning so much from these posts. One of the things I am always curious of is how can we make BTC better, what can we build that actually helps.
So it's all in the maths and the videos help. I want to create a really nice structure so people don't feel lost at all. This interests me and some kind of in play scanner thing as well to help.
So whether to trade out or leave, its all in the maths is my answer. When I test something I compare both, sometimes I get a feel early doors it just won't work for set and forget (betting) and then I stick with trading but sometimes you un earth a gem which works for both!

@michael-chapman Interested to know what nearly tempted you to go with them? I am always wanting BTC to be the best
Good morning all.
In answer to your question Ryan, it was the fact that a felt like I'de reached a stage in my learning where I may needed help from more experienced traders to get me off the mark quicker. When I first stumbled upon sports trading (Caan Berry on Twitter), straight away I thought Yes, this will work. You just need the odds to be in your favour or catch a positive swing in the odds and hey presto However, in practice it has not been so easy. I've read numerous bloggs, watched youtube videos compiled my own Historical stats goal times etc on Excel (Premier league). But still struggling to find an edge.
Anyway, here are my thoughts so far. I've dabbled with various strategies, LTD if drawing @ half time, laying the underdog if they score against a strong favorite etc, but mainly over/under 2.5 market with mixed results, a small loss and still confused. I'm always a bit sceptical of people pushing their systems as I think it's quite easy to show all positive trades and not disclose the losses when selling a product. So when I saw In-play trader on offer for £2 for 3 days gave that a whirl, but found it too complex for my skill level. The Ultimate Football Trading package I just thought that was too expensive given that I don't know exactly what I,m going to receive. That's when I stumbled on BTC on youtube whilst searching Over 2.5 trading. All the clips I've viewed make a lot of sense and the stats page really impressed me in that you can filter in virtually any way you like. So, for an introductory offer of £14.95 for the month here I am, and not at all dissapointed so far (but it's early days yet).
With regards to my experiences so far I must say that I am not an advocate of backing the unders. I have not had much luck with it in the past and when on day one of my BTC membership I received a email with tips to back 3 games on 25/09/18 and green up after 20 mins, 2 of those matches were losing trades after 7 & 9 mins respectively and that's usually the case when I try it then you're stuck wondering whether to green up for a loss or wait 38mins to break even.
Sorry for waffling on but since watching BTC clips on youtube, particularly @Martin-Futter on over 1.5 & 2.5 series feel much more confident. It seems to be all about the maths. Regardless of the strategy used, if you can crunch the numbers and feel that you can determine your win rate with reasonable confidence say 4 out of 5 and you can find odds high enough to cover that loss, in this example >1.25 then you should be on to a wining formula. Please correct me if I'm wrong. That's the theory anyway.
This brings me onto my main question and I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has any thoughts on it. If you have done the numbers and confident that you can find odds great enough to cover any losses, then is it better to gamble (with odds/value in your favour), lay for free bets or green up for a trade. If odds are in your favour then in theory you bank will build quicker, whereas with trading you are guaranteeing a profit albeit much smaller and would therefore have to place lots more trades or use much higher stakes.
Answers on a postcard please and apologies again for waffling at the start. Also, given that the community has been up and running a while this may have been discussed in a previous thread and if so would be curious to read with interest.
Happy days, Michael

You’ve come to the right place Michael. I joined about 7 months ago. The first few months I tried various strategies with tiny stakes just to find my feet, and then since June I’ve been turning a consistent profit and compounding and growing my bank. Would never have progressed this quickly without this community.
Thanks Simon. I've been looking at a few paid packages recently, Ultimate Football trading, In-play trader for example and wondered whether they are worth the investment in terms of returns. However, it's good to hear from someone like yourself providing some reassurance.
Thanks very much for your reply and good luck with your on going trades.
