@Adam Its just a question of holding your nerve during the "oh sh*t!" moments. I have almost conditioned myself not to keep watching it and just check before I go to bed. Certainly helped by having a good start...."it's not my money"

I use Flashscore for tennis trading in play stats . Very accurate and scores are only slightly behind bet 365. Bet 365 is my scoreboard and Flashscore for in play. It is very reliable 👍

is it current season played matches that are or are 4 and 3 and that would be logical?

Yes, you're filtering on current season.

@Patrik-Mellqvist said in Previos default setting stats software versus criteria matches played:

    And I don't want that.

    You either have this selected...

    Or this...
    f366d1cc-f071-47ec-9deb-75154e651fbc-image.png

    De-select as required.

@Patrik-Mellqvist said in Previos default setting stats software versus criteria matches played:

With GPT chat you can do it all - learn to speak a new languish or educate your self with no before hand knowledge the only limit is yourself.

ChatGPT is great, but I couldn't disagree more about not needing prior knowledge, especially when it comes to anything to do with figures, stats, programming etc.

The hallucination problem is pretty severe at the moment. Regarding programming, it will basically make up code that doesn't work. If you ask it for football results, it can make up incorrect scores, and if you give it a maths challenge it will fail at basic maths, especially where algebra is concerned.

It does this because it's just trying to give an answer that "feels right" linguistically.

    So be careful!

Okay Adam I understand and I notice errors in that area and double check and repeat task with modifications and very clear instructions - reason to my conclusion is that I have tested your Ranking System with your games and same with Pouncebet and there PBI and my values match.

    Cheers

@Tony-Hastie Thanks for that Tony. Much appreciated. I’ve just renewed my sub with Fairbot for the next 12 months but will be getting Betfair bot for Christmas. Hopefully we can exchange some ideas for getting a really profitable tennis strategy in the future. 👍 I’m always up for a bit of brainstorming too. Just made a tennis strategy : Back the looser of the first set and will let you know how it goes in testing.

@Patrik-Mellqvist what strategy was that then?

It's very rare that all traders will follow the same strategies, take BTC for example we all use different strategies.

It's interesting as what you mention is one of the reasons we teach traders to create their own strategies rather than follow other people's tips.

I like this way of thinking Chris. Simple but effective in terms of research as the player 1 and 2 are by each other. Flashscore is my usual go to for looking at players pre match starting price as it’s all there in columns. But Flashscore doesn’t show everything. How do you get on with these chosen matches? Do you find there are a lot of underdogs that win the second set if they have a better win percentage than the favourite over the last 10 matches?

@Caroline-Middlebrook When I first started trading tennis I stuck to the ATP and WTA. The challengers are harder to trade for me and also less predictable. You could be trading someone who is 435 in world against someone who is 760 in the world. Anything can happen. I like trading WTA as there are more breaks of serve and also there are good swings when the ladies confirm their breaks by holding their own serve. Best of luck.

@Ryan I have 4 versions of this strategy I'm paper trading at the moment, I record the odds for back under and lay over 0.5 ht goals and whichever gives the best profit from backing £5 or laying max liability £5, is the bet I choose.

    Version 1 (12/06/24)
    509 games, 23% s/r, profit £11.86

    Screenshot_20240909_172955_Sheets.jpg

    Version 2 (04/07/24)
    176 games, 41% s/r, profit £56.47

    Screenshot_20240909_173003_Sheets.jpg

    Version 3 (18/07/24)
    1649 games, 33% s/r, profit £193.72

    Screenshot_20240909_173054_Sheets.jpg

    Version 4 (18/07/24)
    66 games, 49% s/r, profit £63.67

    Screenshot_20240909_173104_Sheets.jpg

In August I went on holiday to Egypt for 10 days so I couldn't record the true odds for them 10 days while I was away so had to use average odds, I know some of the trades that won would have had higher odds than the average i recorded, so I know that the profits for each version should be a bit higher than they are now.

@Richard-Duff if that happens it's worth getting in touch with CS but I'd only do that as a last resort. Might be my paranoia but I never like alerting them to things, they sometimes seem to not know their arse from their elbow at the best of times!

@Patrik-Mellqvist hi mate, for league position % you need to select:

'Home (or away)' 'Percentage' 'League % from Top'

Then when you select % I would go for 'less than' then choose what position you want then to be.

So for example if I want to see 'top half home teams'

I would choose: 'less than or equal to' '50'(%)Screenshot (589).png
