Laying half time goals over 2.5

I'm a newbie here and been doing this laying half time goals over 2.5 and was doing well until I hit upon one that scored 4 times and the most the charts said was 2 goals in first half.
What I want to know is how do I get out of this kind of sticky situation with high liabilities do I just cash out or is there something else I can do
