@mrs-h-m-price I declared earnings a few times when needed, for mortgages.

I think benefits have a cut off if you have 16k in savings (may have changed) or your partner works. Not something I have looked into but may be worth looking up the official criteria.

Hi James, you make some very interesting points. However im a bit of a thicko, so stats just keeps making me zzzzzzzzz.....see, it happened again! For me, if theres no clear favourite, i'll back U3.5....or if there's money in it, U4.5.....or U5.5. My qualifying factor is 'can i make a quid out of this' and i'll throw a fiver at it.

I'd love to work out a sheet on my results but the passengers on my bus keep me busy for 11 hours a day. By the time i get to enter 2 games onto an excel sheet, I've already traded 10 games . I get more wins than losses and im hoping that over time that translates to a growing bankroll.

Btw i'm hoping to cure that stat problem with a 14 week holiday staring next week....either it's going to show me that i'm the trading genius i've dreamed of being or it'll be a cure for my insomnia. Win / win from where i'm sitting 😎

@andrew-gordon totally get you Andrew. However, these are games that id never bet against, especially Liverpool vs Bournemouth... an obvious mismatch .

If I had blown my bank it wouldn't have been so bad. I would easily been able to find what's wrong and corrected it. However, I must be doing something right and can't find precisely what it is 🐻

Losing money isn't the only this that shows us what's wrong, check the prices - would waiting to get involved give a better price? Etc... everything I spoke about in the Step 3 video.

@Andy I like a blend of both with a touch of knowledge, what I mean by this is there are certain teams that are solid and have been for a while and will continue to be.

Man City & Liverpool for example, then you have teams like United who are buying and new manager so it will be different for them and till they get in the groove.

For me it's always the 3 step process:

Step 1 - Pre trade research. Step 2 - In play - Is whats happening in line with my original idea? Step 3 - Post match - Reflect on what happened.

I've just downloaded the strategies as is. I did think maybe I could tighten up the filters somehow, but wasn't sure which criteria to change.

I'll take another look - thanks!

@james-rome no sorry mate i never tracked the odds for this i have a similar filter with a lot more games and the average odds are 5.0 on the lay side which is how i trade. id imagine this filter would come out between 5-6.

@mick-mcmahon said in Employed Trading - What Commission Would You Expect?:

Just found the thread. Have you started it @Richard-Latimer ?

I'm intrigued by the why of you doing this. Unless he has a huge wad of capital to drop that you need, then would 10% or so be worth the extra hassle?

It's all about afforability checks for houses etc.... Funny enough self employed sportstrader isn't well received. Not started it yet no. Right now, I'm just trading for him and taking commission while we try to sort the rest out.

YES! I have a bit of an OCD issue with insects in the house, if I see or hear a fly in the house then I can't rest until I get it out.

I keep 75 tarantulas in my office (plus assorted mantises and scorpions). They are great for keeping the flies down....
