    @michael-rogers

    You can use this software plus a bit of basic excel stuff. In fact you could get loads more info to break it down by Handicap, race type, going, whatever you want really. Just do a basic strategy to back the fave with no filters (or filter by year to save the number crunching) then export the individual results (make sure you have position in the output) and then break it down or group however you want.

    I've been offline for a few days so not been able to get my picks from it. I can't decide whether to have a couple of wider strategies or loads of really niche ones.

    Have you clicked the Circle with a line at 12 oclock under actions on the far right, it should be green?

    @darren-bennett if you backed Master Grey your profit will be on the winner, so yes 4p

    @michael-chalk I'm just updating my results and noticed the same with Snowy Clouds. I've used a bot and it's down as a loss so it's followed the strategy as per the software. There was also Ten Past Midnight on the 16:25 at Fakenham on 2nd February, however the odds are showing at 15 so makes sense why that might have snuck in.

    On the other hand, I've also had winners for 4 other trades which aren't showing on the software.

    Are you OK to share your results? I'll be curious to see how they compare with the software. Like Adam said these things average out in the long run but just want to make sure there's nothing we're doing/ not doing that's throwing things off.

    Thanks

    @michael-white this is exactly what I'm looking for for the Horse Racing selections - are you willing to share the app? No worries if not, I'll try to cobble one together myself

    @steven-fletcher all good, yeh i get you. The closer we can get to the exact rules, the more we know we 'should' be making the same returns.

    It was suggested to me to run 2 versions of the strategy for lay beaten fav, could be worth the same for C and D? Remove the fav,2nd fav, 3rd fav from the filter to get your daily qualifiers but then have another version with them included to check the results. That way you load the bot the night before with every horse and then allow it to only back if 1st-3rd fav using your bot rules. I appreciate it wont help if horses qualify later in the morning, but should reduce the chances of missing some.

    I'm similar to you, need everything sorted before work in the morning as i cant get on after 8am.

    @david-baker-0 I try to keep the number of runners to about 10 or less. Ideally, I want to bet on all of the runners but typically I bet on the first 4 or 5. I find that you can reduce the field a bit by eliminating the really long shots, usually with a starting price over 20. Sure, there will be the occasional ambush from nowhere but these are rare.

    I've really gone with the simplest method that I can set up in less than a minute. Let me know how you go with this, I'd be interested to know if its as successful as my experience.

    Can you watch these two videos I just made for building a strategy and let me know if it helps you grasp how to use the software?

    haha, as a software developer myself, I get that! Rule of thumb when estimating software delivery dates - think of the worst possible timescale and then triple it! 😂

    @dan-mackinnon @Ryan Thanks both, I think I am going to give fairbot a go.

    It's funny Peter Webb was the first person I found and was looking into getting into scalping. I think he is OK but can completely understand why some people might not like him. It's perhaps the subtle smugness and accent haha. Glad I came here first rather than started scalping.
