Fairbot Automation Discussion

Yes exactly that - it's fine when I do this manually but the issue is with my bot (seen in thread) just placed an enormous Back the draw bet after Lazio scored which lost me a good chunk of money. I can't figure out why it did that based on my criteria and placed a £43 bet instead of a £5 bet to Green Up.

Are you wanting to lay the draw at the start of the second half
Then cash out for either a profit or a loss when a goal is scored depending on which team scores
Then if there are no goals by the 83rd minute cash out to minimise the losses?
Or do you have something else in mind?

@steven-fletcher okay thanks for the feedback Steven.
-
@kevin-pepper thanks Kevin - fingers crossed soon!

@danny-o-sullivan unfortunately I don't know of any way to do it in Fairbot
the conditions for football are Fixed score, number of goals, relative score and second half minutes
makes them pretty useful but nothing really for in play stats like you are after.
I've asked Andrey at Fairbot about this and it's on the list for their development but no date given yet when it might be introduced - frustrating...

@steven-fletcher Thanks again Steven.
My brain is cooked at the moment,
I think I'll get some shuteye and attack it again tomorrow.

@steven-fletcher thanks Steven - so having Green Up All Selections would have cashed out after the goal here?
e.g.
My initial thought is that if I have more than one bet on this event, would it green up for all bets on this event?
I think that would work to hedge your position against all 3 outcomes.
It would depend what other bets you had in that event......Multiple bets in the match odds market would be effect but cash out all wouldnt impact the over 1.5 market
I wouldnt be doing any live stakes testing until i was as happy as could be that the automation was going to work as expected

I posted this once before which might helpIve found the easiest way to do this is to select the "Select Market(s)" option from the tools menu
This then allows you to select all the horses races and then add them to your watchlist using the yellow star with the green plus icon
Once on your watchlist you can view all the races from from the markets option set. you can bulk apply rules here or go into the races one by one by double clicking on the race and using the automation tab, it goes Orange once there is a bot running

Would really appreciate if someone could help me out here.
I've set up the following Bot to LTD at HT. If the either side scores, I Green Up.
This bot was activated in the Lazio game today, and for some reason, when Lazio scored in the 80th minute to make it 1-0, Fairbot placed a £43 bet to draw @ 9.60/1. So instead of making about a £20 profit, I made a £21 loss.
I'm very disheartened by this and can't help but think this has to be a Fairbot glitch. Anybody see something I'm not seeing?
initial thought is that the option is only greening up the draw outcome so seems like green up selection was selected
As such the bot has tried to cash out your position on the draw instead of looking to green up all. Had the match finished a draw you'd have lost £1.80 ish
Id try changing your cash out and running it in simulation until youre happy its behaving how you expect

@fraser-cord Thanks Fraser,
This is what I get when I click on select market...
It must be me.
I think I'll sleep on it. I must be doing something silly. -

@Tom-2 , click on the select market tab and select a market 1st. Then it should bring all the options on the right hand side.
-
Thanks Steven. I think I need to study it more than I though.
I managed to load the strategies but now I can't find how to get back into the automation mode. I emailed Fairbot and they said, just click the automation tab on the right to access the Strategy Editor. But I don't have an automation tab.

@dan-mackinnon Hi Dan,
Newbie question.
I've just signed up and setup my free trial Fairbot account today, and I've also imported the strategies. Can you tell me If I have to alter or tweak anything before I put them into simulation mode?
I plan to activate one of the horse racing strategies tomorrow in simulation mode and then go into real mode with £1 bets the day after.
Also, which strategy would you recommend I start first?
Many thanks.
Tom
you don't really need to alter anything in simulation mode but before putting them into action you need to make sure you are comfortable adjusting your staking......although I don't think any of the presets are set up for high stakes.
My initial advice would be to play around with all the bots in strategy mode first and then get a feel for which ones you want to try. With your £1 is that going to be lay stake or liability? It's worth considering these things before you start using your bank

Hi lads, finally getting the hang of Fairbot and it's been very useful. Just wondering whether there's any functionality to place bets based on an in-play match stat? For example, place a bet if there were 0 shots on target in the first 10 minutes, this triggers a Less than 3.5 goals bet? Alternatively, are there any decent football stats apps out there that will notify you if a specific game has 0 shot on target within the first 10 minutes?
Re: the above - does anyone have any tips on this?
-
Thanks again @Terry-Heller and @Steven-Fletcher
Will have a go over the weekend and see. The Mexico game overnight only got the back bet partially matched so il experiment with keeping the back bet as i think the bot cancels if unmatched (it should match if kept as the price will only rise with no goal).
And il give your version a go in simulation @Terry-Heller .
I guess its just the fine tuning required to get the bot working exactly how I want. Yeh suspended markets will always cause a problem, but if I can iron out the other little bits, can hopefully increase the profit.
-
@terry-heller @Fraser-cord maybe add a second green up rule to trigger as a failsafe?
It's pretty hard to cover all the eventualities with a bot, also might depend how many people are trying to cash out after the first goal.
another way could be to increase the number of executions on the green up with more of a delay between them so it tries to green up every minute for 5 minutes for example
