Fairbot Automation Discussion

@Dan-MacKinnon okay thank you. So, as long i want to compare inplay stats like from bet365 with historical data then BF BOT Manager makes more sense right? If the strategy is just pre match based then Fairbot. Is that right?
-
@michael-doering Hi Michael, Fairbot doesn't use excel. If that is how you want to set up bots then BF Bot Manager might be a better option.
Fairbot is really good if you already have a strategy that works and you just want a bot to do the trades for you.

Hi,
i am Michael from Germany.
I am still not using fairbot, but i have a question about the possibillities.
Does work fairbot with an if-then-else function?
I thought about the following scenario:
Prematch filtering from BTC Stats. Import the csvfile. When the game goes live fairbot should compare data from the favorite team like the shots on target from the bet365 Page with the excelsheet.
best regards, Michael

@kevin-pepper thanks

@dave-tancock Fairbot
-
@kevin-pepper daft question is that on BTC software or fairbot?
-
just went to try the 15 day free trial but it looks like its windows only. is there a way to use it without having windows or downloading additional software to make it work?
-
@dave-tancock Yes, you can edit the stake yourself using the Strategy Builder - 30 sec job
-
I’m considering trying fairbot in the near future using the pre made bots. They seem easy to set up just a case of copy/paste the code. Is it easy to change/check the staking?

@stuart-wallace-0 it's because of the odds you layed at, you don't have an even number on both sides, so in this example you have 36p if Delhi win and -31p if Mumbai win, hence why if Mumbai price shortens that's not good and if Delhi price lengthens it's not good.

I have posted this on the Cricket thread, but thought i'd post this on here for you wondrous people to see if you can put me out of my misery ! its driving my puny brain insane trying to understand whats going on here - so much so, that i in the 'woods and trees' position !
Am i doing something fundamentally wrong here. Its a simple lay both teams, catch one side on way down, and let other side drift for 10 ticks for a quick pre-match scalp of 7 ticks (hopefully).
@martin said in BTC Cricket Trading Thread:
@stuart-wallace-0 you have three bets matched on a two way market so you can green up either side
Thanks Martin.
I think i must be having a senior moment in this. if you look at the screenshot for todays example, there are 2 Lay bets matched. Therefore i would expect both teams to have potential green as prices go north. However, as you can see, Delhi start going into the Green when the price shortens, and Mumbai goes into Green when price lengthens, whereas i am expecting both teams to go into Green when Price lengthens (Bot concept being that upon Toss, one Team will shorten, and i can scalp a few ticks, and the other team will lengthen , which i will capture with the stop loss.) However, what i see possibly happening here, is if Mumbai win the Toss then their odds will shorten and go into the Red, and Delhi odds will lengthen and also go into Red. But, if its the other way around and Delhi win the toss then both teams will go into Green. Doesnt make sense as i have layed both sides.I get the feeling that i am missing something very fundamental here - for example, is this normal behaviour for laying both teams in a 2 horse race?
Am i missing something very obvious?

have you tried building one yourself? This one is not that hard and a nice entry level to start playing with building your own automation
i did and it is working.
I just tried to send it but i cant get ik from crossover to my mac side of the computer so i can send it to you -
I like Ryan's lay the draw trades is there a place to download this to make it automated?
-
Okay I figured out how to fix that issue, here's how I did it incase anyone else comes across this problem. When setting up the bottle it loads through Windows 10 64bit by default, I changed this to Windows 8 64bit and the software works fine now. Hopefully this is of use to someone!

Hi everyone.
Wondering if anyone can help me out, I've recently downloaded Fairbot as an attempt to automate some of the trades I miss out on whilst at work. I'm running it on Crossover (as Ryan recommendation on one of his video's). I'm having issues with text not showing on the application though, when I add something to my watch list it gets added but won't show up any text. Same with the market selector, I can see there are loads of selections on the page but it's just blank. Am I missing something? And if this is an issue with Crossover itself, does any Mac user have a recommendation of how to run Fairbot reliably? I'm running on an M2 Macbook Air too if that changes anything.

@kevin-pepper I have now realized my error when changing the staking I accidentally changed the bet to a back bet rather than a lay for some reason I just doubled checked and it was only on the pace lay.
While I'm here, don't know if this is a common question but can you put two automation on the same race and how would you do that? an example would be pace lays and back the favorite automation.
It is possible to have multiple strategies on the same race. There are a few work arounds that I've posted in this thread before
1 - as Terry said have more than one version of Fairbot open
2 - as Kevin said create a master rule
3 - Edit your rules so they enter the win market from different markets. This is the more complex version but works just as wellif you see under Choose Market instead of default i have the other option selected to enter the WIN market. This means i could use this rule on any market in the race and it will enter the win market.

@john861 you've specified 'Morning line' for the Action but not under the Condition so the Condition won't be met for Morning Line.
This seems to be the most common problem Fairbot users have when initially using strategies with selected horses. You need to ensure every relevant occurrence of 'unknown' has a selection made
-
@kevin-pepper sorry to be a hassle but I've run the automation now in the simulation and it still has the same error code what could be the problem?
-
@john861 if you find there are pairs of strategies that are often both selected for the same race, you can consider creating a master strategy which includes both sets of conditions, rules etc.
The example shows the 'Lay beaten Fav' and 'Back Course & Distance Winner' combined. You'll need to ensure there isn't a conflict between combined rules but it sounds more complicated than it is...
