@fraser-cord Hi Fraser, your General rule doesn't have a stop time. For the bet that was placed at 17, have checked when it was placed, did it go in-running?
Also, your Conditions are using Best Back Prices but in Action you are laying at Best Lay Price. So the Conditions might be met with a Best Back Price of say 14.5 but if there are a few ticks to the Best Lay Price then you could well lay at 17,
I'd be inclined to set the Action Lay Bet to use Best Back Price + 1 tick so you're first in the queue.
Hope that helps
KevinJust seen Steven's message while I was typing and echo what he's said. To his point about the bet going unmatched you could set to Keep or Take SP. Alternatively set it to Fill or Kill, increase the number of Executions in the General settings and make sure you add a Condition to check that there aren't any matched lay bets

@fraser-cord you could change it to this to limit the lay price in relation to the back price
not sure if this would risk unmatched bets though as not tried this before but you could play around with the number of ticks over the back price you want your lay to be

@kevin-pepper This is the general and action tabs

@panagiotis this is what I have come up with so far, sometimes it works and others the trade doesn't make a profit, it's a small loss and I don't think the SL was triggered. Still trying to figure it out...
I have tweaked the smart bets option on the trade and the timing of the green up rule so it should now work. I'm current;y in the testing process with it.

@fraser-cord Hi Fraser, the logic looks ok to me but what do you have in the General settings?
-
Hello all
Wondering if someone who is better with fairbot could explain this and help me find a solution.
Was trying to add an extra rule to lay beaten fav bot kindly posted on here. Been testing and everything appeared to be working fine. Just checked today and I had a loser which was outwith the parameters. Im wondering if I have selected the wrong price, should I be selecting best lay price where circled in red.
My thinking, I wanted to ensure the bot only triggers if my selection has a greater price than the Fav by at least 5 ticks. It still shouldn't trigger if the horse's back price is above 15. It took a horse, lay price 17 (so im guessing could have had a back price of 14.5 or 15)?
cheers

Did i see a fairbot automation file for Ryans Split Stake?
I'm not sure you did Lee but I did one a while back. However, it was set up as separate files for O1.5 and O0.5 but the functionality now let's you place trades across both markets from one file. I'll see if I can dust it off and do an updated version (though it'll need proper review/testing). Will try and take a look over the weekend
KevinHere is my effort, has seemed ok so far in testing if anyone wants to give it a test
think its set for 2% on each entry at the moment

@dan-mackinnon Oh this is excellent, and very reassuring, thanks!!
I'll do my best over the next few weeks to get something sorted with the remaining horse strategies. I really like the idea of contributing here, so this will hopefully be a good fit for me
Cheers!!

@fraser-cord This is really reassuring to hear. It's my first time on a forum like this, so hearing that we're in a highly supportive environment is a really good feeling lol.
And yeah, I'm really new too, and the learning curve with all this is blowing my mind a bit tbh
-
@steven-fletcher Oh no! The emails are great (I think). And yeah, it was for the horses mainly.
This is good advice, I'll do my best to work out how to do the rest of the preset strategies over the next few weeks (I think there's only 3 left, and only one of those looks tricky..)
Quick little edit: Idk if you've seen, but @martin sent out an email today asking for members who don't get the daily email to get in touch so they can be added.
My email arrived at 11am-ish on Tues, just in case your inbox is as much of a mess as mine lol

@stephen-beale I keep forgetting to update the OP so if you’re happy giving it a go and want me to add them then you’re more than welcome.
Sometimes it’s better to do that because everyone has a look and might chip in with advice. As we’ve all come into this as newbies there’s no one way to approach it and we all just learn together
-
@stephen-beale I recently went to automation and chose fairbot for that exact reason. We are really lucky so many folk have made and shared bots on here. With a bit of perseverance, you can get there. The bots don't match all email strategies exactly but not too far away.
Folk on the forum have been extreamly helpful too. Would not know where to begin otherwise. Im still a beginner but slowing learning the ropes.
Cant speak highly enough of the support from so many on here. -
@stephen-beale i dont get the daily emails anymore so not sure what's on them but i think there have been a number of the main ones posted (were these football or horses?)
Having a crack yourself is probably the best way to start as some of them are quite straight forward and it lets you get a good understanding of the rule and the automation behind it.....if you then post them in here there are normally people who can have a look at them for you
-
Hi, I'm new-ish here, and I really need to do automation because of the way my life is.
I'm just wondering;
Do all of the preset selections that Martin sends out in his daily email have bots for fairbot?
I've looked on the BFBM page, and they have some different ones from the ones listed for Fairbot
I was just wondering if I needed both lol
*Quick edit; If Fairbot needs some of the horse preset strats made, I'm happy to have a crack at building them
-
@steven-fletcher Just run it on the Oostend match worked like a charm,
cheers Steven. -

Hi guys, this might be of interest, it's one which Andrey at Fairbot helped me with and looks for a 2nd half goal but doesn't re-enter after a goal. The problem I was having was once a goal went in then the bot would trigger again and place a bet on the next overs and so on. The attached one will only enter once in the 2nd half.
Thanks for that, its really interesting to see the ways that other solve the same problems. I had thought of putting multiple exclusions in but wasn't sure if that would make it to complicated so instead set the rule to only trigger in the first minute of the second half (my thinking was it was unlikely that there would be two goals in the first minute)
