I’m the only one in my house who isn’t high risk.
We'll all be receiving a letter this week then followed by 12 weeks of hibernation and state paid care packages haha

Like you I feel I'm going to be seeing a lot more of the kitchen and lounge in the next 12 weeks. Whatever it takes right.

I think we should all take solace from the fact that the hashtag #wanking is trending at number two on twitter in the UK!!!
And as soon as we go on lockdown at least we get free prem pornhub haha.

I do need to curb my twitter updates again though as it's definitely having a negative impact on my state of mind to the point that I'm even more negative than I would be just getting my news updates haha!
Richard:
Try to focus on the positives here:
-
Vast majority of people exposed to this virus will have either no symptoms or very mild symptoms.
-
Even those who get ill will mostly recover with almost certainly no lasting issues.
-
There is actually some quite promising data on using an old anti-malarial drug to at least decrease duration of symptoms and time to viral clearance. That would help a lot in helping to break transmission cycles and prevent further flare-ups as the current epidemic wanes somewhat.
-
Maybe, just maybe, this will get the human race to realize that instead of investing trillions in developing things designed only to kill and destroy an investment in things designed to protect and defend human life and indeed the existence of our fragile planet.
OK the last one is a bit of a stretch.
Turn off the bloody news and whatever doomsday twitter feeds you are on and do something else instead!
I like the lat one though haha!
What concerns me is I have a neurological condition which is under control but whenever I get very unwell it is often triggered. Damned if I do and damned if I don't as usually I take 15mg prednisalone steroids every other day but as they are an immunosuppresant I have stopped temporarily. I'm either at risk from my condition (less likely as tends to attack every few years but still possible) or I'm at risk from having a low immune system.
My son has really bad seasonal asthma for which he was hospitalised twice last year. My concern is the virus brings it on early.
All of this is unknowns at present but it's extra risk than I feel comfortable with. I've potentially got to go back to work in a week because can't live on SSP, he'll go to school as wife is a nurse.........and frankly it's all well and truly fucked!!
Only just taken a mortgage holiday for something else and as far Rishi made out the banks would have no choice but to grant. However website still says subject to approval.
I swing back and forth between trying to stay positive and crumbling under the weight of it all haha!!
I have discussed this with my cousin though and we agree whatever happpens it really does feel like some kind of massive reset is taking place. Can only hope we take a little bit of the community spirit showing through the world right now and move forward with it.

@richard-latimer who isn’t taking the advice though? We are just saying let’s not be all doom and gloom, a lot of this is guesswork as this has not happened before.
Yeah I know, there's no precedent but we can already see how overworked the ICU's are from this and we are following the exact same trajectory (if not worse) as Italy. So many adverts on TV now (another one just come on).
I messaged a mate I'd not seen for ages this morning and he's absolutely sure it will blow over by May. Still apparently loads of reports people just carrying on as normal. I know I keep saying it but it just feels so inevitable. It's got to be a matter of days before we follow everyone else and go on lockdown. Whether people are sick of it or not it's clearly going to happen unless something magical comes along.
Over 40,000 people charged with leaving their property in Italy. Most being fined but some facing jail time.
I went out with the dog this morning (something we'll still be able to do if other countries are the benchmark) then I went to supermarket (first time since this s**t got out of hand) to track down some beer and wine at it appears that's the new toiilet roll haha!
Such a strange feeling out there with most people keeping their distance. I hate being couped up but I must say it was a relief to get home so I didn't have to constantly think about what I was touching and was I putting my hand to my mouth. As soon as I got home I scrubbed my hands way more than when I'm kicking around the house. Bought some E45 as my hands getting seriously dry haha!!

These tweets are becoming more and more common over here. Before they were only coming from Italy. Despite the other potential influencers I'd like to understand how people can think it's worth taking a chance. If there's even 5% chance that me carrying on as normal could so much as lead to the premature death of one person then I'm following the advice given. I can't see why any other decent person wouldn't.
This is the face of someone who just spent 9 hours in personal protective equipment moving critically ill Covid19 patients around London.
I feel broken - and we are only at the start. I am begging people, please please do social distancing and self isolation #covid19 https://t.co/hs0RQdvsn3
