Nice price to wake up to in Sri Lanka with draw laid at 3.15.
-
yep this draw price nuts LAY
-
The draw looks very layable around 3 at lunch on the first day in Pallekele. The only draws at this ground have come when the weather has wiped out entire days of play. That doesn't look likely this time round. Could be even better value if Bangla continue in the same vein after the break.

Sri Lanka Vs Bangladesh
Obviously a different kettle of fish than T20
Would love to follow how you guys are approaching trading this test match and what angles you take, when to get in and out etc.
The last 4 tests here have ended in a result (however with stronger teams than Bangladesh) so I guess laying the draw is always an approach. Currently around 6s. Do you wait for this to come in a bit, or lay at the start of the match.
Cheers

Mumbai v Delhi bring this one on.

How depressing. Stuck at work all day with a IPL double header.
Home on Monday just in time for tomorrow’s match. -
@jonathan-busch yes if a batting teams raced to nearly rock bottom odds am laying cant ever make i my first trade to back a 1.2 fav .., from this point most cases i'll look to take some out 1.4 for a little insurance and ride the rest to close of INNS and make a call from there on the match .. on flip side if trade continues to go south on me into 1.10 range just cop sometimes i'll lay again generally around 18th over when its 6 and out stuff ..
current game in progress RCB 9-2 was happy to get involved lay KKR 1.6 and take some out at 2.00
main thinking here is by end of INNS worst case be around current market so in my mind safe play to firenothings an exact science just trying to put myself in a position to attack
pleasing squared off RCB rock bottom
any further trades be smaller stakes

@jonathan-busch have a look at @darri's blog, there are a number of posts on how he approaches T20 trading and cricket in general as well as his football related activities and general trading advice,

Thanks for the reply
Sounds good. I had the impression that you need to make many many in and out trades to trade T20 cricket. I guess with this approach you are setting your intention for the trade and not too worried as the market jumps around with a wicket/boundaries, knowing that the general trend is to shorten. In general, does the team batting first often get to 1.2-1.3 in the first innings?
And just to clarify, if the batting team (1st innings) is short odds (1.2-1.3) at the 10 over mark, you would lay them, expecting them to drift and then back/hedge. And then you make a call as to whether their score is chaseable, and if so, back the team batting second and get out at 1.2
Thanks again

@jonathan-busch welcome
Based on two teams SPs at $2 approx
-Rarely back on wickets but when do its if plenty in shed and if if think team will win
-I try to wait till around 10th over first INNS to decide on a trade mostly side with the batting team to set up a winning score if they do usually let it ride till they're are 1.2 favs .., if they are super short like 1.3 can play it other way and lay and hedge some out and if think scores chaseable same thing stay in until 1.2 favs approx or how i feel
-Late in 2nd INNS lay bowling teams sub 1.10 is goldJust a few spots always on my radar
There can be 100's ways to earn this format / stats / strategies nothings biblical thats forsure

Hey guys
I'm just starting my trading journey and am focusing on cricket trading only.
Although I know T20 (IPL) cricket isn't the best place to learn, I'm giving it a crack (in practice mode )
I've jumped onto the BTC to try to get as much advice about cricket trading as I can. So any advice on how to approach a T20 trade would be great. These can be general or specific.
- Are people trading wickets and boundaries through the match?
- Are people waiting until late in the match when it is more certain who has the advantage and placing a simple back or lay
- Are people trading matchups ie backing a set batsmen against a weaker bowler etc and then trading out
- Is there an innings which is more preferable/profitable to trade
- Do you focus on the batting team or the bowling team or the team with the higher/lower odds?
I probably have more questions but I'll leave it there
Thanks

Damm!! Jamie Murray bowled the last over shoulda held on!!
-
Re entered back end 18th over 5 points locked in 4 if we don’t get a super over.
-
Early out tonight at Monte Carlo so a chance for a look at IPL. Considered laying RR at 1.24 after 15 overs of DC innings but didn’t. Did however lay DC at 1.24 with RR in all sorts of bother. Reasoning being that despite that David Miller was set and can be brutal and DC had to find 4 overs from Tom Curran or as I call him the Jamie Murray of the Curran family and Marcus Stoinis. Removed liability when DC got out to 1.75 and greened up for 2 points profit when Miller went once to often.
-
DC in allsorts happy to LAY RR 1.28 still for 20 40 tick aim ... bang 75% back bet of the lay on RR now till market evens and might square book
-
free rolling a nice divi lets go PAK hit 1.4 favs #dontaskformuch...pleasing

despite 203 by SA 1.3 LAY in most first INNS seems a very good lay to get into position for remaining game .. annoyed itchy fingers laying to soon
-
