Hi all. Complete beginner with fairbot here and loving this thread. SO helpful. thank you to you all. I just have a basic question so apologies.

I have installed the CD winners Bot to fairbot and have assigned it to todays recommendations. But I've noticed that the 'back' is 'unknown'. Do I need to tweak any of the actions in the bot or will this just be assigned closer to the race time?

Just give a shout if you still need help with this. I'm doing horses too, and it took me wayyyy too long to get it all set up, so I'm v happy to help:thumbs_up:

@stuart-wallace-0 I'm sorry for stream of consciousness but if I assign by name and save. The bot only saves for one race. It won't remember selections for every race. Is there a work around for this as it would mean being able to leave the bot all day rather than coming back to the laptop before each race

The only way I can think of getting around it is to copy the entire strategy the same amount of times as the amount of races today. Then rename each one as 'race 1, 2, 3 etc.' Then apply effectively a different strategy, all be it the same one, to each race. Seems convoluted to me. Any better streamlined suggestions welcome

@stuart-wallace-0 Hi. it is on 'at runtime.' Does this mean the bot will automatically select the favourite at the race start?

Morning chaps, Am I right in thinking that there is no way to add red card conditions to my bots? i.e cancel trade or don't open trade if there is a red card in the game.

Correct, that data isn't currently included in the automation rules

I thought that may be the case which is a shame. Thank you for confirming

@danny-o-sullivan Hi Danny. When you have logged into Fairbot choose the market that you want to apply a strategy to. So for example if it was Ryans Over 1.5 split stake from yesterday Jong Ajax vs Maastricht.

    Open Soccer
    Open Dutch Soccer
    Open Eerste Division
    Select fixtures 20 Feb
    Select Jong Ajax
Scroll down to Over 1.5 Goals and select that
When the market is open on your display click on Automation(its on the right hand side of the screen just above where your bets would be displayed)
A drop down box will show all of your saved strategies so select the one for Ryans Over 1.5 split stake and thats then set to be applied when the conditions are met.
If you want to test and watch how it works use simulation mode then you can assign the strategy to multiple games and watch it in action without risking any money.

thanks @martin. I read the Fairbot User Manual posted by Stuart but that seems to be more on the general platform than strategy automation.

Hi, I'm a newbie at automation and am still getting my head around implementing these strategies with the software. I've downloaded the Fairbot software and each of the football fs files above. What are the next steps to automating these strategies? I've scrolled and scrolled but cannot find the relevant steps - any help is appreciated!

@dan-mackinnon I too stumbled upon Alistair Hamilton's in-play scalping and would love to know more about your automation on fairbot. I'm also trying to find a fairbot automation strategy for Ryan's pre game MM if you know of any? cheers

@kevin-pepper Thats great. You didnt need to go to the trouble but its a huge help. I'm still not 100% sure on the specific's of fairbot conditions so the help on here is making such a difference.

i would also suggest if you have the time run it simulation mode

as there arent always a lot of qualifiers you can just run it a load of games in sim mode and watch them to make sure the rules are working as you intend......there will be games all day so it makes it easier to find games that fit with when you have some time

unfortunatley with automation its never going to be 100%

The first weekend i went live testing this Betfair lost the live feeds for the whole of the Dutch leagues and i had about 4 games that were all suspended for the entire game! (only min stakes but it did show that sometimes it doesnt matter how well the rules work)

@fraser-cord Hi Fraser, I had just downloaded the strategy to take a look and there's nothing obvious. As Ian said it could be something to do with the market state so I've updated the attached so it only tries to place the first bet when the market is active. I'm not sure that will necessarily make a difference but I guess the VVV game could have been suspended when the scoreline check happened at 30 mins? I added a market state check to the 2nd bet rule as well (and tidied it a bit so it only looks to trigger between 50 & 52 mins)
    Hope that helps

@ian-wylie I was thinking along these line too perhaps, maybe the market was suspended for some reason.

Just seems odd its worked with all other tests and all previous steps have been excuted

It's hard to say exactly what happened, market suspension is possible but having looked at the match report i cant see anything that would have suggested it

The only other issue could have been the odds range at that time which you wouldnt know without watching the bot at the time

Haven't seen this scenario before so I think off the back of it id consider putting a new condition into the second back bet rule to only execute if the first rule has executed. Although in some cases that might work in your favour
