@paul-keighley look for the videos mentioned earlier, there's loads of them.
Yup - the Cid Marcos ones involve a lot of strats using IPT - it's in Portuguese but it's possible to suss out what he's doing by pausing and repeating sections - took me 90 minutes to do a multiple dog one last night
Ok Thanks guys.
Translating these Cid Marcos videos are a great fun challenge! I've watched a couple in slow motion, subtitles on translated to English (still don't make much sense!) and as you say Dave, lots of pausing and rewinding!Just managed to create his most recent strategy for Over 0.5 FH using IPT stats so will give that a test now and then attempt a few more!
-
@dave-jessop Thanks again. I see your dog traps odds range is much wider than mine & you have a max win amount, does that stop bet sizes getting out of hand? Is that your thinking here?

Hey Guys. Just wondering if anyone has much experience with InPlayTrading and BFBM?
I just subscribed to IPT and am about to attempt to try and create some of their listed strategies on BFBM. Wondering if anyone has had any luck in doing this before?I will also attempt to create a strategy for Ryans o1.5 split strategy and also Martin's/Keiths LTD strats, with the ultimate aim of using the BTC stats software to select the games and then use BFBM combined with IPT to monitor the games inplay for lively stats (over x shots on target, Dangerous attacks etc etc) and then place the actual bets inplay.
Not sure how long this will take me as I'm a BFBM novice but happy to share my progress/ bots with anyone that wants them as I go along. If anyone has attempted this before and has any advice to share then that would be much appreciated also!
-
@dave-jessop could you send your strats to me please? I'd like to see how they compare to mine to see if I can improve them.
-
@dave-jessop Hi Dave have you scratched using the dog bots etc?
-
@dave-jessop Just looking now used translate this page to get some idea, am already running h1 gl and a few more, but very interesting.
-
Is it possible to run more than one horse strategy using BFBM?
I select horses using the "My S" column but if I want to run multiple horse strats, as far as I can tell, all selections will be applied to all strategies.
Am I missing something? -
@dave-jessop Hope your in profit Dave or at least close to break even.
Missed your posts and updates etc Dave. This room basically become non existant since your holiday.
By the way anyone seen Lee W? His he still a member. miss HIS CHATS AND ADVICE.

Hi Guys, Looking to get involved with some automation using BFBM, and have just worked my way through this thread and spent a couple of days messing around with the software but just have a question I can’t quite get my head around!
I understand the concept of how we can use this software to automate our proven strategies such as the various LTDs or Ryan’s over 1.5 goals strategy where we use the stats software to get our selections and then further monitor stats inplay etc before making our trades, and this software will just make doing all of this a bit more efficient…. However, having read through this thread I just can’t understand how it can be possible to make money in the long run using the Dog Trap or Dog Favourite strategy as people seem to be doing in this thread, as it is essentially just laying random dogs (within a set price range etc) without any pre selection like we would use for say the B2L or Dobs etc on the horse trading thread, or using the football stats software to obtain our selections for the various football strategies.
Surely just laying every dog or horse selection solely based on its price, and no further criteria will end up with these selections winning and losing exactly the same amount of times as they are expected to as dictated by their starting price given an efficient market and therefore we can just expect to breakeven in the longterm minus the commission of course? And the recovery systems just seem to me the equivalent of playing roulette red or black using the Martingale system and hoping we don’t hit too many losers in a row before getting an unrecoverable loss or have I completely misunderstood this whole concept?!
If anyone with more knowledge on this subject could possibly educate me here it would be much appreciated! Thanks

working on it ... lots of coding and back testing been done
Dave is on holiday but could be mega rich now with the bots!
-
@jarratt-perkins I wondered why the thread died.
-
@neil-mallett - I have had to go back to the drawingboard on this one mate - all goes well them BAM MASSSSSIIVEEE loss on dogs!

Just finished reading through this thread for the 3rd time & am looking for some help.
I'm trying out BFBM for a month, sussed out how to duplicate the dog bots so there's one for each trap and using the little acorns strat too.
A few of you have been experimenting with odds & recovery methods, I can't work out what the current thinking is. I've also noticed that you've been swapping files with different strats.
Would some kind soul send me some to look at, I'd like to see how your traps differ to mine and am also interested in the fave lays & the various football strats.
If anyone can help, please let me know here and send the files by email.
My email is a standard gmail dot com and the bit before the @ is nm63uk
Thanks for looking.

@dave-jessop Good work! Once they're set to go and were comfortable with the liabilities at stake then its pretty hands off to run. Thats what i have to keep reminding myself when im watching the figures for a few pennies profit! Id get a better hourly rate in a sweatshop stitching nike trainers!

The traps killed me too for a couple of days. The ones which are doing well for me are FHG, Horse Fave (under 2.0 - foregin & UK), dog fave, horse fave (over 3.5). And by 'doing well' i dont mean huge profit but i mean ticking over nicely and not racking up large stakes during recovery. O1.5 is ok but its on a tipping point as its in a bit of a recovery cycle at the minute so it could either recover nicely and the figures look good or a couple of losers and it leans the other way. U2.5 is treading water at the minute so im sitting on the fence with that one

@jarratt-perkins Yesterday was really bad
Trying 100% recovery with 0.1% stakes today and tomorrow - what was happening yesterday was two or three losers then 2 winners and then losing again and the losses were never recovered with 3 in a row - 100% will get it all back with one win and hoping I don't get too many 4 losers in a row
I have altered mine also to 100% stake - I think best idea is low slow steady! .. .set mine to 0.06 of £100 bank ... I have also taken if the 6 winners in a row and swapped it wiht ... if trap hits -£25 .

Today does show it's best to have a varied portfolio - took a £100 hit on trap 3 today and about £10 on trap 4 before resetting (T3 is still being a bitch and stakes would be mental trying to recover) but the Aus dogs made over £14 and the new dog fave is plodding away and nearing £30 over 4 days and am about £25 up on the various football bots today - the old saying is 100% right about all your eggs in one basket
I am back!!!
Mate the traps are KILLING ME! I took same hit on 3 then i think 5 this morning!!!!

@dave-jessop one of the traps has done me in today. I didn’t have a max liability set either and typically im out in Liverpool all day so couldn’t do much to fix it. Moral of the story - don’t go to Liverpool!
