Maybe the volume on that market was so low that the price wasnt availableid guess didnt meet the price criteria as well......
could be something else like market suspended which sometimes happens as well but ideally you'd know what the odds were as thats the only condition on there

Me again lol. Probs doing everyones head in but keen to get sorted.
Also running Tomasz u1.5 lays. Had Chippa game matched and in play, any idea from the watch list why the Malatyaspor game didnt kick in? Theres no market for u1.5 now as current score is 2-1 and the market gone. ???
-
@stephen-beale Right ok, cheers for that. Will try and get that sorted for any remaining today. Thanks.

@steven-fletcher they were the 2 horses for that race, so you mean i would need to add them three times each making six selections ? Seems a bit random lol, unless im completely missing what youre saying
This is something I had trouble with as well.
You've selected the main horse, which is great. But you see over to the right (under "Conditions") there are two "Unknown" options, you have to click those and select the horse again there.
So for this strat, you have to select the horse 3 times in each selection box, once under "Action", then again two times under "Conditions"

Anyone got an idea why these 2 didnt fire in ?
you need to select where it says unknown under your conditions
in total you need to select the horse three times so the condition knows which horse to check against your odds range

Can you run more than 1 Strategy on a market in your watchlist? - reason i ask is that when i add the 2nd Startegy then all i see allocated to the market is the latest one.
You can't run mulitple strategies in the same market but it can be done using a work around and providing your rules are set up correctly to do so
Today for example i have to strategies working on the 13:15 at Southwell
The first rule works easy enough on the win market but the second rule is in place on the Each Way market. This rule can be run on any market because it is set to enter on the win market and not the default market

One strategy per market. Whichever one you select from the Automation drop down will be applied

@kevin-pepper ok cool cheers. So how do you get around multiple strats on one market ?
I decide whether they compliment each other and potentially drop one.
Alternatively I create my own strategy that combines rules across the multiple strategies.
I should really look at running multiple instances of Fairbot but will do that when I look to move Fairbot to a VPS soon.. -

@caroline ok thanks, working on that now. What should i do with the data thingy? tks!
Betfair limit the amount of calls on their data that can be made for free. If this is exceeded you can get hit with charges so clearly you want to avoid.
The default settings in Fairbot are fine and will prevent you making too many data calls. However they assume you're running just one instance of Fairbot.
So if you run multiple instances of Fairbot you'll need to throttle the amount of data calls from each to avoid the total across them all exceeding Betfair limits.
I don't run multiple instances so can't confirm what you need to update in the settings but others will be able to help.
I guess one thing to bear in mind is if you regularly change the number of instances of Fairbot you're running, you will need to reset your data settings. If you end up runnejust one instance you don't want to throttle that unnecessarily. -
@kevin-pepper ok thanks Kev. That clears that up!!

@dan-mackinnon or anyone! Cheers Dan. 1510 at Sedgefield - Back the fav at the off - Socks off
At the moment, Basher is fav and thats what comes up in the automation and i cant seem to change that to the horse required (socks off), any idea on how to manoeuvre that?
The strategy is to back the favourite. In the automation it's showing you who is being selected based on current prices. I'm guessing Socks off had the lowest price at the time you checked today's selections in the BTC Horse software. Based on the strategy you're using, it's the fave at the off that's backed which will likely be Socks off or Basher.
You don't need to change anything else, just leave Fairbot to back the fave just before the start -
@lee-brown I think that's just telling you how far you are into your 15 day trial. You only need 1 subscription / trial
-
@caroline my 2nd window comes up as trial version day 1/15 so guessing you gotta pay for each instance ?
