Fairbot Automation Discussion
-
Hi, Iam new to automation, can anyone point me in the direction of how to use fairbot, my screen looks different to the tutorial, and Alistair 's videos
-
@Terry-Heller thanks for that Terry, its really useful and not something i had considered. I watch alot of his Youtube videos but hadnt seen that one before.
Im using the rule condition to enter bets as well as greening up so hopefully the issue with Fairbot not tracking goals doesn't happen too often -
@Terry-Heller
Credit here to Bet Your Life Sports Trading on Youtube he has a lot of work rounds for using fairbot.

@Steve-Fletcher-0 I had a bet on exactly the same market as that one and I have the automation to fire "cancel bets and green up after the O.5 market is closed". Mine greened up automatically as expected with a slight imbalance but i corrected that manually
And yes the match screen shows the score as 0-0 just like yours -
@Terry-Heller might just be a bad night but has done it again
renders the green up automation useless unfortunately but thankfully only testing with small stakes.....time for a turn it off and hope tomorrow its working again

@Steve-Fletcher-0 I havent noticed on any of the games that I have followed today but I think the main BF site can be flaky like that too.
You can have in automation for a sound to be played if a market is closed. So say you wanted to jump on the O2.5 market when a first goal is scored you could set it to alert you when the O 0.5 Market is closed. -
has anyone had issues recently where Fairbot isnt showing the goals correctly?
Just checked and missed 2 trades as a result today
Clearly a 1st half goal but score showing as 0-0
-
@Terry-Heller Should give you a level profit/loss across the market but as always test in Simulation before live use

Hi I have a question.
I have placed a back bet pre match on the under 1.5 goals market.
I have written a bot to give a level green at 22 minutes
This is what I have in the actions tabAm I right in thinking that will give me a level profit assuming the other conditions are met
OR do I need to use Green Up Selection instead?Thanks for any help
-
@Steven-Fletcher thank you so much
-
@Craig-Hardy so when i was running the rule i added the following condition
This meant that the bot compares the selection to the horse second by back odds betting position and would only fire if the selections odds were higher so no in the top 2.
i'll be honest though im not currently using this strategy. Depending when the bot fires there is the potential your selection could move into the top 2 favs between then and the off which would mean the selection wouldnt show on the software.
I was going to experiment with a BSP bet in play following on from the recommendation in another forum but there is a £10 min on this and i havent found the time yet to give it a go

Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone can help me with a Fairbot strategy query. I've noticed that the Lay The Beaten Favourite.FS file doesn't exclude the favourite or 2nd favourite in the current race. Does any one know how to add that?
Thank you

Anyone see this error before
Result of the "place a single bet" operation is UNKNOWN. Error: ABNORMAL TIME (> 45 seconds) OF THE API CALL.
Had five trades last night that failed and not sure if there was a Fairbot issue or not
-
@michael-doering When you apply automation to an event in Fairbot it gets added to a Watchlist. You can then see all those events together and see profit/loss and the data can be downloaded. However, the Watchlist is cleared down when you restart Fairbot
-
Can i see in the Fairbot the statistics of my strategies or do i have to watch in my betfair account?
-
@kevin-pepper thanks for this
after i posted i started there must be a way and that is the same thing i came up with
not had a chance to test it but think this could work

@steven-fletcher
You could use the 'No action' condition to create a Rule to check just before kick off whether the Home team is favourite and within your price range. Then create another Rule to see if the Away team is favourite and within your price range.
Then your next rule would be to check for 1-0 plus whether the Home team rule was executed.There's an example below where I check that the Home team are under 2.3 and then when the Home team is 1-0, I want to know if they were below 2.3 pre start. I've copied the General, Action and Conditions tabs for the pre match check which should help....
-
@Steven-Fletcher but thank you for your help. I try with BF Bot automation.

@michael-doering based on what you are looking for i don't think its possible with the conditions that are currently in Fairbot. The only option i could see that would allow you to do what you are looking for would be the relative score condition but for this to would have to be set at 0-1/ 1-0 so in theory you would need to know if you wanted the home or away team to score first.
There may be some with more experience who could suggest an alternative way but there isnt anything obvious with the current system

@Steven-Fletcher at the end for me counts that the bot choose the right games. I think the only way to set up the odds range, like 1,50 - 2.0 and then he has to recognice that the opponent of these odds are the under dog. Is that possible? Problem is that the favorite is sometimes at home sometimes away. I just wanna place and over2.5 goals bet when the underdog has scored, not when the favorite with the odds of 1,50 - 2 has scored.
