*** Question***
Is anyone running fairbot in multiple tabs?
If I wanted to run two automations ”Second Half Goal.fs” and ”two Ryan's Over 1.5 Goals Split Stake.fs” at the same event anf same time, I would have to open two fairbot (or can I run two automations for one market?).
It seems that I can open two fairbots, but I get a warning box saying that API data requests will be loweredNot sure, maybe this just means it will refresh less often so that they don't get charged or told off by Betfair.

@stephen-beale no, you can pick mulitple events and races in the same window
here are some screens i posted before which might help

Ive found the easiest way to do this is to select the "Select Market(s)" option from the tools menu
This then allows you to select all the horses races and then add them to your watchlist using the yellow star with the green plus icon
Once on your watchlist you can view all the races from from the markets option set. you can bulk apply rules here or go into the races one by one by double clicking on the race and using the automation tab, it goes Orange once there is a bot running
This is incredibly useful, thank you so much explaining this

@chris-osborne
I see.
If that's the case, then the strategy here is the same as backing overs, although there may be a little difference.
Thank you very much. -
@akira-takashima Laying unders or backing overs is essentially the same thing its down to perspnal preference

I am testing the SHG "https://forum.betfairtradingcommunity.com/assets/uploads/files/1666596610065-btc-shg-2022-reva.fs" on the Members Filters Bots, is this not a Back bet strategy?
I checked on fairbot and the Bet Type is "Lay bet" as shown in the image.![alt text](image url) -

@karl-pick this would be amazing. I've tried Bet Angel, but could'nt place a bet.
Like many new members I realise that this is the next step, but have no clue where to begin.@Ryan think we will need a pretty comprehensive guide judging by these comments.

-
@ryan That would be very helpful. I have nearly reached the end of my free trial of BfBotManager and not found a way of using it. My next step is fairbot and going through the forum posts in this thread has made it look much simpler. The screenshots of the strategy make it much easier to understand. Opening the fs files doesnt really help much though maybe I should be opening them with something other than Notepad.

I'm really brand new to this, so I have a couple of incredibly basic questions
First one is;
Am I right that we need to open a fairbot for each race?
(For example, if there's 10 selections for the Back The Favourite strategy, we'll have 10 fairbots open) -
@karl-pick
Thank you for your answer.
I am still in the process of testing Members Filters Bots as I can't create my own strategy yet.
It seems to get more difficult as it gets more complex. -
@stephen-beale
Thank you.
I have checked "choose selection".
I will try to do some testing -

I'm thinking of putting together a google doc step by step for automation good idea?
What Q's would you have about it?
I'm thinking of basically start to finish how to set up your automation for trading with BTC, covering the 3 main softwares, how to get files out of BTC, how to Import etc... (might need some help on the software I don't use!)
This would be brilliant as.... "I know nothing"...... about dealing with automation and I currently do everything manually.
So a basic Janet and John would be great!!! -

I would like to use fairbot's Automation for horse racing transactions, but I would like to select a 1st favourite or 2nd favourite and a horse, is this possible?
the short answer is yes
The longer answer is it probably depends how complex the strategy is as to how difficult the bot is to create. One thing I've learned so far is there is normally a few different ways to tackle a problem
If you let let me know what sort of thing you want i can try create something later when im home from work and near my laptop
-
@akira-takashima I'm brand new to this, but there's a "Back the Favourite at the Off" strategy in the presets that (obvs) selects favourites
By the looks of things, you could adjust the strategy really easily to place a bet on the 2nd favourite (it's under the action tab, "choose selection" --> "By position Back Odds" --> "2")
There might be more to adjust than that, but that should get you some of the way there
