Fairbot Automation Discussion

I’ll update the OP with the latest bots people have posted. Are there any others we want to include?
Also, don’t worry, I think we’re all new to Fairbot! The great thing about BTC is you can ask questions and try to figure it out together
-
@panagiotis C&D winners is also there which is the latest - it's on the presets under Course and Distance. This leaves the back beaten favourite, pace lays and back the favourite I think from the 6 preset strategies.........
2_1672431530198_Back the Fav.fs
1_1672431530197_Pace Lays.fs
0_1672431530197_Lay the beaten favourite.fsI should add im fairly new to this myself and all of these are currently still in the testing phase. These are my versions of those but id recommend checking the staking etc and testing these before you like Dan mention's in the original posts

Lay Favourite between 1.8 - 2.4 - 0_1666596923424_Lay Fav between 1.8 and 2.4.fs
John's Flat Pace Backs - 0_1666596939019_Flat Pace Backs.fs
Those two are the Lay at short odds at 1,8-2,4 and Back the Pace horse at 2,00-25 from the presets?
If yes, do you know when we will have the other 4 strategies from presets ready? -
@steven-fletcher You have right. Now im ok! I saw that we have only the 2 strategies from 6 from Presets to automation. Do you know if exist possibility to have and the other 4?
-
@panagiotis looks like youve got the over_under market and match odds selected which stops the horse racing coming through, just use the reset button to start over
-
@steven-fletcher
Why i cant find Horse Racing here? -
The best explanation ever. Thanks.
Now the only i need is @Martin to give us the strategy for all 6 presets Horse racing for Fairbot
-
@panagiotis yes you do
Ive found the easiest way to do this is to select the "Select Market(s)" option from the tools menu
This then allows you to select all the horses races and then add them to your watchlist using the yellow star with the green plus icon
Once on your watchlist you can view all the races from from the markets option set. you can bulk apply rules here or go into the races one by one by double clicking on the race and using the automation tab, it goes Orange once there is a bot running
-
Hello, guys.
On fairbot in order to activate the strategy do you need to open the race and introduce the strategy?
If yes, this i need to do for every race? -

Hi Dan
Good thinking, I was trying to work out a way to check whether a Named horse is in the first 3 in the running and I think I could use the Condition below.
If you wanted to check your Named horse is not the Fav, I think you could use the following bar the rare occasions it might be a joint favourite
What do you reckon?
KThat's exactly what I've been doing. I've gone for "At Runtime" instead of named horse but it works the same. I tested it yesterday and seems to work fine
-
@steven-fletcher Many thanks for that Steven.
-
@kevin-pepper amazing thanks!
-
And following on from my last post I've now got an updated Fairbot file to back Dan's C&D winners if they are in the first 3 in the betting. It also allows for up to 3 selections
0_1672339719995_Dans C and D winners 29122022.fs -

Under conditions, has anyone tried the "relative odds"? I think it might be a way around doing horse racing but excluding the favourite
-
@andy-lucy one thing i've done which has helped me is to open more than one copy of the software.
This means ive been able to have one running my bets and one running the rules ive been testing in simulation mode. This means when rules go wrong or dont work ive been able to amend them and learn.
Its been really useful being able to test a load of split stake matches while knowing that more horse racing rules are working away on their own

@andy-lucy hi Andy, as the guys have said, you need to select the horse in the conditions sections.
Something I found really useful was to try and get my head around the different conditions Fairbot offers. From there you get an understanding of what’s possible and can modify your bot accordingly. Using that information you can then put it into the horse racing software and hopefully the two tie up nicely
-
@andy-lucy You still need to select the horse on the Unknowns in the conditions
-
@andy-lucy Hi Andy, it's the unknowns to the right of the first box which you need to select as shown in the example below:
