Fairbot Automation Discussion

@michael-doering not too sure from a BFbot manager point of view
From Fairbot i think the way to do it would be a check condition around odds and relative score, would you be wanting the bot to identify the favourite/ underdog or would you know this ahead of time?
-
@Steven-Fletcher I start working now with the BF Bot manager. Here are more setting possible. But i have the following problems:
I set up in market conditions the rule that the bot has to watch in the match odds market for soccer matches in a range of 1,3 -1,5. But now i want that he filter games where the underdog leads with 1:0. My problem right now is that i just can tell BF Bot Manager that he filter 0:1 or 1:0 and not the underdog. How can i do this?
Next step it i want to set up that the bot set the first bet (over 2,5 goals) in the 31 minute, but just when the underdog leads with 1:0. When someone scores till the 51 minute i want to cashout. If no goal scored till the 51 min i want to set another bet. When a goal scored till 70 min. i want now also cashout again. If no goal happens till the 70. min then also cashout again for a loss.
Can someone help me to set up this?

@michael-doering You could do the entry and exit points I think but I don't think currently there is anything that would pick up the live stats for shots if this is a crucial part of the strategy
-
@dan-mackinnon I've tried my strategy and it seems to work till now... now i thought to start trying the fairbot automation with my rules. I am watching on youtube and the fairbot website, but i dont found any tutorials how to set up all the things. Can you give me some tips how to start or do you have a good tutorial for beginners? I thought about to work with the 14 days free trail of fairbot. I also asked chat gpt about including live data into my trading plan. Thats possible?
Here is what is my trading plan about and what i want to set up:
- Rule of enter a trade (over 1,5 goals) by checking that the underdog is taking the lead after a specific time
- if possible checking live shots
- Rules of cashing out for profit/loss
Sorry that i have to ask you so simple questions, but i have zero experience with bots. Maybe you can help me...it would help me a lot and i would be also very thankful about that.
best greetz,

@stephen-beale Its also possible out of other countries, just not in germany and austria. Existing a lot of europien countries where its possible to register.

Had a load of trades set up today before a long day at work, first few fired fine, 5 points up. then the rest didn't. missed out on a decent bit of profit. Just got home to check out what happened and my fairbot app has an error 'not enough memory'. has anyone ever had this before? I have 8gb RAM and only had chrome and fairbot open so i'm a bit confused. Is it just because the app had been running for so long?
Anyone got any advice to prevent this happening again?
-
@kevin-pepper That is a really good idea, I'll do that in a few weeks, Cheers!!
-
@stephen-beale I can't say I do but I guess if you have a strategy which appears to be performing well in simulation and you think you're ready to go live then you could run 2 lots of Fairbot before fully committing. One still in simulation and the other at low stakes and then see what the relative performance is.
I'd guess the difference would also depend on the nature of the strategy, level of liquidity etc -
Quick question about Simulation vs. Live trading
I was watching a Youtube vid and the guy said that in simulation fairbot tends to be a bit more generous with its predicted payouts, and that if you'd been running his strategies in live trading you'd get less money
This might be an impossible question, but does anyone know roughly how generous simulation is overall, like as a percentage or something?

@michael-doering I think that message about Betfair in Germany might have been for me?
Ahhh, that's a shame. I had a feeling that was the case, that Betfair is a UK & Ireland thing in Europe. Thanks for the confirmation!! -
@Dan-MacKinnon sure, but for germans who live in germany isnt possible to register.
-
@michael-doering Hi!
Can I message you privately about betfair trading from Germany?
I've got a friend who lives there who was asking me about it
Cheers!! -
@Dan-MacKinnon okay thank you. So, as long i want to compare inplay stats like from bet365 with historical data then BF BOT Manager makes more sense right? If the strategy is just pre match based then Fairbot. Is that right?
-
@michael-doering Hi Michael, Fairbot doesn't use excel. If that is how you want to set up bots then BF Bot Manager might be a better option.
Fairbot is really good if you already have a strategy that works and you just want a bot to do the trades for you.

Hi,
i am Michael from Germany.
I am still not using fairbot, but i have a question about the possibillities.
Does work fairbot with an if-then-else function?
I thought about the following scenario:
Prematch filtering from BTC Stats. Import the csvfile. When the game goes live fairbot should compare data from the favorite team like the shots on target from the bet365 Page with the excelsheet.
best regards, Michael

@kevin-pepper thanks

@dave-tancock Fairbot
-
@kevin-pepper daft question is that on BTC software or fairbot?
-
just went to try the 15 day free trial but it looks like its windows only. is there a way to use it without having windows or downloading additional software to make it work?
-
@dave-tancock Yes, you can edit the stake yourself using the Strategy Builder - 30 sec job
