@ricky-simpson My view is automation is the way to go. If I can't get a strategy to work, then I don't progress it. I load up my selections for the following day and don't come back to the PC until the following evening to log my results and set up the next selections. This takes me no more than an hour each evening. The bot just runs and as long as the selection criteria is met the bets are placed. This is great for me as I'm not stressing about how trades are going.
I use BFBM. The others used by member is Fairbot and Bet Angel. They all have their own positives and negatives, so it depends on how and what you trade. What is good is that they all offer a free trail and there are some bots ready made on this forum for the profitable strategies for you to play with until you build you own. One of the main reasons I use BFBM is that I can take my overall bank and split it across the strategies I'm trading. Currently I have two of my own and three profitable strategies. I leave it to the bot to calculate the amount to stake based on the compounded bank.
I have a PC which I leave running, but I know some members use a VPS instead so you don't need to have your PC/laptop running at home.
I'd recommend taking advantage of the free trials and see which best suits you. There is lots of help here regardless of which bot you decide to go for.

Good morning all,
Not sure if this is the right place to post but I have some very basic questions regarding automation and bots.
I’m seriously thinking of going down the automation route. I understand the basic principal of using automation but would like to know a bit more about the initial setup and then the day to day running of it.
So my background. I work as an electrician on a building site, so I have no access to a pc. I do all my trading on my phone. I look at my strategies in the morning and set alarms throughout the day to alert me when I need to enter a market. This has been working ok so far, but it takes up quite a bit of time and I’ve also made some costly errors where I’ve been busy with work and entered trades I shouldn’t have but also on the flip side of that, I’ve missed trades because I’m busy. And then also at weekends I’m generally busy doing family stuff.
So what I would like to do, if it’s possible, is set up the automations in the mornings before I head out to work, turn off my laptop and then come back at a later time to check up on them. Is it even possible automate trades with the computer turned off? Do I have to use certain software to do this?
And then my next question at the moment is, how do I get my strategies from BTC into the automation? How easy is that? Is it just a case of copy & paste the selections for the day over to the automation software? Is the strategy set up in the automation and I just add the selections?
Any help on this would be much appreciated.

@ryan I’ve set up some systems already and got the parameters in place but I’m trying to develop a portfolio of trading strategies, so maybe a couple of back, a couple of lay, DOB, LTF. 3 isn’t really enough. I do like the simplicity and I’m not really looking for anything fancy or overly technical….just more of what is there already!
I’m using a MacBook so don’t have the option of BFBM right now
You can always rent a VPS and run BfBM on that. It's best to run all bots on a VPS anyway in case of any power/internet issues plus you don't need to have your mac on 24/7

@lee-woodman yes I agree lol message them and they'll help you out I am sure.
BFBM drove me insane!

@lee-woodman I was able to play around with their rules and build my stuff.
What were you wanting to build?

Is it possible to add systems to 5 star bot? Ive started using it myself but cant see how to add any additional systems beyond the 3 already there
