ADVISE PLEASE....So I have been looking at Automation, but worried about someone else having my money, but I am gonna take the plunge!!
Can I ask you Long Term users just from your experiences, Which of the BIG three is the best for Horse Racing?
And Which membership would you recommend as there is different levels.

    Hopefully thanks!!

@ryan I posted additional instructions a week or two ago on the BFBM thread on how to set up BFBM to auto-import selections from the Horse Racing software, might be of some use too.

That’s just brilliant isn’t it? Literally have to do nothing 🤣

Read the first post on both threads.

@Everyone I've put this together as a start guide for automating your trades with BTC and the softwares.

    https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BaCR0r87KPaLyM8v84fc4HK1cZYeJ-gTrw2xgy7VO6c/edit?usp=sharing

It would be great if anybody who uses the software to help show how to get the selections from BTC into the respective softwares!

There is a guide on my bfbot thread in the first post. It is horse related but would work for football as well

Read the first post on both threads.

    Hi Guys

been tracking a S&F strategy for the past year and results (so far) shows that is profitable long term with 146 win and 31 lose

The strategy consist on enter on the over 0,5 Second half market when the odd hit 1.40 (on pre selected match)

The only problem with this strategy that you have to login on Betfair at half time and set the stake and the odd but lot of time don't have time to do so as busy at work or somewhere else.

So far the results seems really positive was wondering if it could be set as a set and forget strategy via Automation

    any ideas?

    Thanks

You could certainly do this in Fairbot and I'd assume it can be set up in other trading software with automation functionality.

@dan-mackinnon I've used EUKHost for a number of years without a single issue. Not sure how they compare on price to others, at the time they were one of the most competitive Windows VPS providers.

    @Everyone

Hey Gang! I'm on my 4th day of the 15 day trial of Fairbot, & I go ahead today with some very small stake's live testing of the very simple horse racing strategy automation.

It would be great to just apply the automation to a whole gamut of races & cut the manual checks! making the whole process of making your selections slicker & quicker!

I've not found a way to exclude certain parameters withing the rules on Fairbot, namely Class & Course Characteristics (Galloping ect) & I'm wondering if Bet Angel or any other software will allow it? Perhaps by MS Excel integration which I know Bet Angel supports?

What would anyone recommend for a VPS? I'm currently using Time4VPS but had issues with it not recognising Betfair in that country so had to also get a VPN. It's been OK but wanted to look around to see what others are out there.

Unfortunately, my internet is so unreliable I need a VPS

@ricky-simpson Mainly there's the start guides with which ever software you choose to actually place the bets, from there it's understanding how that software works in terms of automation, you'll then be able to get the files from the forum in here mostly.

Then you can export them from the BTC software and upload them into the trading bot.

I'd love to go deeper into how each software works but as we don't own them its harder to do that 😞 might try and get a google doc together where some of the guys using that software could help.

PS you might not need a VPS it depends which software and how you want to set it up.

@ricky-simpson once you get your head around it, its quite easy.

I would say look at some of the strategy files on the forum to see how they are built. To start with make a copy of the one that is closest to your strategy and adjust to suit.

Always test either in simulation mode or live mode with micro stakes to check its doing what you expect. Personally I prefer live mode with micro stakes.

    Thanks @ryan

I’ve been looking through that thread plus the others on automation and taking in all the information that’s available on there.

Are there any threads with the basics of getting set up etc? After doing some further research I know I need to use a VPS (I’ve never heard of VPS before) the automation software and the BTC software, how do the 3 different platforms work together?

    @Paul-Foster

Thank you for your insight. I agree, and think automation is definitely the way forward to maximise the full potential of some strategies and take away the stress of executing trades.

Since my last post I’ve been doing a bit more research, I think I will use the free trials on all the platforms and see which one works best for me. It’s the VPS thing I need to get to grips with as well but once I have a better understanding of that it looks like I will be able to upload my daily selections without using my laptop.

Do you find it easy enough to set up your own bots on BFBM? I have a few of my own strategies and some variations on the other members strategies that are posted on here that I would like to automate.
