I have just put up a guide on how to import specific selections from the horse software into my first post on my BFbotmanager thread. Utterly brilliant(how this works, not my guide. That's a bit s**t lol)

@john-folan not sure if compeltely related but I noticed when I was filtering my horses by odds the qualifiers were still showing horses outside of the odds range I selected, not sure if that is a bug in the software?

@john-folan that’s weird as when I grouped by horse handicap it seemed to suggest that filter made a differenceπŸ€”
When you bot it mate please let me have a copy πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸ»

Quick question. The specific upcoming qualifiers the strategy throws up aren't right are they as we don't really know the favourite until near the off? Only asking for the bot.

@kc hi mate at the top of the rule builder section there should be two little β€œcloud” buttons one is for importing strategies and one for exporting.

One thing I noticed when filtering the Favourites is the ROI increaes hugely when I leave the starting stake on Market opening, I assume this means that the favourites steam in quite heavily during the run up to the race

Heres another one I just came up with tonight for backing favs in handicap races at certain tracks:

Using the 1% of bank as the starting stakes and building as the bank builds brings in a cool Β£36k over the last 14 months.

Heres the settings file: 0_1652135179860_Back Handicap Favs.json

Out of interest what does the Horse Handicap of 0 do as that rule seems to make no difference whatsoever whether its included, set 0-20 or left at 0-0? Utterly cracking strategy though mate and I'm going to be botting this πŸ€‘ πŸ€‘ πŸ€‘

A few folk have asked for pointers. Here is one that should always be used. Always split handicaps and non-handicaps. Combining them is like blending results for F1 and Moto GP. In most cases, the odds also behave differently pre-off, so a trading strategy that works on handicaps, may not work on non-handicaps.

Here is the clearest example of the huge difference between them. These are the results over 5 years, based on Favs (All favs over 5 years). The win SR between them is a huge 13.7%

Absolutely agree with this. Easy to do in the software.

@keith Those are the results from 3rd party program, but they match my results to within the odd point. My Excel sheets are a bit of a mess, but I understand how I use them. πŸ™‚ Not worth posting them here as they would make about as much sense as Putin's speeches 😜 I've been using the strategy since 2015.

Thanks mate much appreciated. That last line especially πŸ‘πŸ»

I posted a strategy for Chester, during the meeting. This time I'll post another simple one for an upcoming meeting.

    Thirsk
Back Favs blindly in non-handicaps, of 10 runners or less. Simple.

The BTC results are over about a year, the other image shows how profitable such a simple strategy can be over many years.

@keith-driscoll Apologies if I come across a bit slow, but are you literally backing the leading horse in races at Chester and just letting it run?

I let them run, but for those who want less risk, you DOB 50%, once you know who the leader is, as long as it fits within the few rules. If you wait till the last 6f in longer races, sometimes you get higher than BSP, on leaders that statistically win more often than expected. It's a strange track. πŸ™‚
