@john-folan I'm being thick, can't seem to find it, I can see the one for number of selections (runners in a race) but not another. When you get a mo, point us in the right direction please? No rush.

@greg-mitchell yep there is a number of selections condition under ‘selection conditions’. I’m not at home at the moment so I can’t tell you exactly what it is but it’s in there as I use it.

Does anyone know how to set BFBM to only place a bet if there is one selection in a horse race. I have a strategy the the BTC Software picks out relevant horses but occasionally there is more than one qualifier in the race, so both "tips" are uploaded to BFBM and if they meet the odds criteria then it places two bets, but I only want it to place a bet if there is only one selection in the race.

@greg-mitchell nice one. I have qualifying versions of strategies to removal number of runners, DSLR, etc. I'd never though about doing the same with the fave selections.

@paul-foster In the BTC software, have a duplicate strategy but take out all the criteria that make it select the favourite, so that it picks all horses that qualify in the relevant races. Then make sure your BFBM bot includes the criteria that you have removed from BTC.

Morning. I'm a bit stuck on bfbm and wondered if anyone may be able to advise? I'm trying to add in a new rule onto one of my strategies in bfbm, to filter horses by age. Does anyone know the format for entering values into this field? So for example if I wanted to only allow horses aged 3-9 , would I need to tick 'contains' then enter 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 in the field, or could I just use spaces inbetween the numbers, or does it need multiple rules, one for each value?

@gareth-roberts with any back/lay fave strategies then neither the csv or the url are the best options, unless someone knows better than me (not difficult). We don't know the fave until the off so the one shown on the selection is just the fave at that time.

What I do is take the list of races and go the the race in the "Markets" tab and select all of the runners. I then use "Move My S. to Manage Tips" using the name of the relevant strategy.

@John-Folan has a work around for this but tbh it would take me longer to do the work around than it does to enter the races manually into Manage Tips. Question to all, how do you load the back/lay the fave selections??

For any strategy which has a specific horse selected then I use the url method. If you expand into these and are still having an issue let us know.

@gareth-roberts two questions. Which sports and markets are you trying to load into BFBM.

If horse racing are you using the software to load them for you or are you using a csv file??

Have you made sure you have added the strategy name where Adam has told you to in the software? Only thing I can think of.

And does the strategy name you've added to our software definitely match the name of the BFBM strategy? Probably best to avoid including special characters in the name as well if you can, to be on the safe side.

Has anybody played around with the Staking Plan options in BfBotManager? There are so many options and I must admit I don't quite understand what some of them are - 'reverse labouchet?'
I've been sticking to % of bank and ratchet staking, but I thought I'd try an experiment with the 'overall loss recovery' option and a test bank and see how far I can go upwards before it hits a losing run and blows the whole bank. Just for fun. I imagine it won't last long.

With the back the favourite at the off strategy clearly the favourite is not known until close to the race starting. Is there a way of setting the Bot up to wait and bet on the favourite for the pre-selected races if the odds hit? I have been uploading the tips from the CSV in the morning but often the selected horse at 8-9am is no longer the favourite by the afternoon, so the correct bet is not captured. Thanks

I asked Bfbot about this and it can’t be done from the auto import. However with a bit of jigger pokery you can do it as you suggested. You will need to include whatever filters are in the strategy file plus add a rule under Market Conditions of don’t bet on any races with my selections. Then pick any horse in the races you DONT want to trade on and that sorts it.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry for my basic question, but how do you then link the bot/strategy to the races that have been selected by the software if no longer uploading tips via CSV?

The only bet on races without my selections rule takes care of that. You then need a bot with the relevant odds rules for the favourite. Then it will back the favourite no matter who it is

I am going to give this a go and hopefully have set the bot up correctly. Then once I have loaded the horse racing markets I will go through and select all the horses in grid view for the races that are NOT selected by the horse racing software. Hopefully I have understood...!

You have but you only need to tick one horse per race not all of them. Will save you some work

I just select all the runners for back the fave qualifying races then move them from My Selections to Manage Tips. Took less than 5-mins for tomorrows selections and on a really busy day it takes no more than 30-mins. Not sure that the work around is much quicker.

I've started doing this for short odds lays as well as the both that leaving the bot to auto-select was having too many discrepencies from the software. Still misses some, but does seem to be more accurate.
