Has anybody played around with the Staking Plan options in BfBotManager? There are so many options and I must admit I don't quite understand what some of them are - 'reverse labouchet?'
I've been sticking to % of bank and ratchet staking, but I thought I'd try an experiment with the 'overall loss recovery' option and a test bank and see how far I can go upwards before it hits a losing run and blows the whole bank. Just for fun. I imagine it won't last long. -

With the back the favourite at the off strategy clearly the favourite is not known until close to the race starting. Is there a way of setting the Bot up to wait and bet on the favourite for the pre-selected races if the odds hit? I have been uploading the tips from the CSV in the morning but often the selected horse at 8-9am is no longer the favourite by the afternoon, so the correct bet is not captured. Thanks
I asked Bfbot about this and it can’t be done from the auto import. However with a bit of jigger pokery you can do it as you suggested. You will need to include whatever filters are in the strategy file plus add a rule under Market Conditions of don’t bet on any races with my selections. Then pick any horse in the races you DONT want to trade on and that sorts it.
Thanks for the reply. Sorry for my basic question, but how do you then link the bot/strategy to the races that have been selected by the software if no longer uploading tips via CSV?
The only bet on races without my selections rule takes care of that. You then need a bot with the relevant odds rules for the favourite. Then it will back the favourite no matter who it is
I am going to give this a go and hopefully have set the bot up correctly. Then once I have loaded the horse racing markets I will go through and select all the horses in grid view for the races that are NOT selected by the horse racing software. Hopefully I have understood...!
You have but you only need to tick one horse per race not all of them. Will save you some work
I just select all the runners for back the fave qualifying races then move them from My Selections to Manage Tips. Took less than 5-mins for tomorrows selections and on a really busy day it takes no more than 30-mins. Not sure that the work around is much quicker.
I've started doing this for short odds lays as well as the both that leaving the bot to auto-select was having too many discrepencies from the software. Still misses some, but does seem to be more accurate.

@daniel-sawkins It loaded todays with no issue.
I don't know why it reloaded yesterdays selections this morning.
-
@paul-foster Sorry I'm not following, are you saying your bot isn't loading them correctly either?
-
@daniel-sawkins I noticed that my bot imported all of the selections for yesterday at about 4am this morning, so they all appeared like your screenshots.
It had auto loaded all of today's selections at about 11pm last night.
-
@daniel-sawkins mine looks the same today..

I seem to be getting quite a bit of variance between the fairbot selections compared to the results listed on the horse racing software, particularly on the Back the Favourite at the off. Could this just be down to variance in the uploaded tips as I generally set the tips up at 8-9am?
Favourites change all day. Need to rework your bots I think

@paul-foster me neither, especially just running the one football strategy at the moment. As time goes on I may have to import the tips via CSV but for now this will do fine.
-
@david-milligan thats exactly how I do it. Unlike the horse strategies I just don't have enough selections to justify auto loading the full markets.
-
@paul-foster even simpler still is just select the over 1.5 markets that are involved in the strategy and load them manually from the tree. Only thing I have now altered is the staking on the bot.
-
@david-milligan yeah, the default filter would fire on any match that meets the criteria from the auto loaded matches, so pretty much all of them without a goal at 30-mins.
Adding "bet on imported selections/tips" in the Staking tab will address this. You don't need to add or change anything else.
