Ive decided to restart this thread after taking a break from the forum.

Im going to document my SHG trading. My potentials come from several filters (some of my own and some from on here) All fully tested. I also have several more currently being tested.

All this will lead to a list to simply back another goal at HT

Im going to be looking to start this back up for shg trading as it gave me my best performing months yet during the middle of last year. The problem i had was using one filter so now i will be using several filters to provide one list for the day.

Valencia trade winning plus a second half goal at 0-0 gives 0.7 points for the day.
This leaves the month on a high and overall
    1.5 12.36 points
    Shg 8.12 points

@martin-walker I can relate to the strategy part. I've just put my data on Spread sheets, which shows me a stack of Info and made me realise that I know more than I thought. LTD works really well for me.

You mention stakes, my Spread Sheets show me I varied in my stakes, from doing £2, going up to £10 then coming in here and learning how to trade a different way. I am now doing 2% of Bank, which I shall stick too for the timne being.

Last trade of the year is valencia over 1.5 at odds of 1.35
    End of year review.
Ticked along nicely for a few months then had a real wobble around the euros and lost money, decided i needed way more discipline so started to trade one filter only. This led to some huge gains for a large portion of the year, regularly 30-40% increases in bank per month then the filter showed signs of slowing down until it produced 2 and nearly 3 months around break even. I was so disciplined in this that i just carried on trading it until earlier this month. Now i actually think i should of acted sooner.
New plan going forward is to be more fluid and act if needed.
I will be trading the over 1.5 strat and tracking the shg along with it as a back up for now.
Despite the poor recent months my bank is now at a point where 10% each month next year gets me to my semi pro goal and potentially even reaches the full time goal although i dont actually plan on quitting my job when i reach that level.
Ive dropped from 5% stakes to 2.5% stakes and i feel 10% per month is very doable, i wont be actively chasing 10% i will just let my trading fall where ever it does.

Blackburn and chelsea last night take this to 11.15 points for the month.
There is also a shg option with this with 0-0 1-0 0-1 the only worth doing, this is at 7.5 points for the month.
Im still unsure wether to play this or not with it.
Theres also the option of only playing 0-0 to potentially pick up any slack in bad months for the over 1.5.
This currently sits at just under 4 points for the month with zero 0-0s in the 67 games since retracking.

With my old strategy on pause for a while im moving over to backing over 1.5 pre match.
The basic idea is looking for games i expect to have over 1.5 goals then checking for value.
For example chelsea tonight are a big home favourite and are fully expected to get a few goals against brighton in my opinion, they are also conceding a lot at the moment. Ive checked the recent results and chelsea havnt had a home game less than 1.5 in quite a while although im only concerned with recent form (last 5 or so).
I believe the odds should be around 1.2 but ive managed to get 1.31
Doing this has returned 10.5 points this month with an 11% margin.

This whole idea is born by taking bits i like from quite a few people on here plus bits ive learnt tracking thousands of games this year, but ive got it all condensed into a very simple approach. I feel im now disciplined enough and have learnt enough to move to things like this now when i feel the need to instead of persisting with things that are underperforming.

@richard-latimer its something i worked on a while ago and have come back to it. The recent tracking is at 57 games.
