Its Serie A's idea of an anti racism campaign! 😯

    Noooooooo

What meeting did they have, where they thought this is the way to stop racism? Give people free booze to stop drink driving, that's a better idea than what they have done up with

Actually I think impeachment is meaningless in terms of next years election. I have no doubt that Trump has committed numerous 'high crimes and misdemeanors' since taking office since his whole existence is based on being a grifter, but he wasn't far wrong we he said he could shoot someone on 5th ave and it wouldn't make a difference.

The key to US Presidential elections is always the electoral college map though and I can't see Trump winning anywhere that he lost last time. There simply isn't a lightning rod issue like Brexit at play in the US that could blind everything else.

Dems only have to flip three states out of about 6 or 7 in play to win and that will be their strategy (its why the establishment is behind Biden). Lots of twists and turns between now and November and I would never write him off but I wouldn't be putting any of my hard earned on that race right now.

Well yeah unless the senate convict which looks highly unlikely given how the GOP are behaving on a daily basis it's nothing more than a telling off. We can live in hope though. Having a mad despot in charge of the most powerful country in the world isn't helping anyone.

If we do have to do trade deals with the states I'd rather it be with the Democrats than Trump!

The whole situation is ludicrous though where he can stand on the Whitehouse lawn and ask other countries to investigate his rivals (an impeachable offence) and still they defend him. Like you said there was the famous quote about standing in 5th avenue and shooting someone. Most would have gone down for saying it nevermind doing it.

They are supposedly on the precipice of massive recession with their huge deficit so maybe when they start losing money the GOP might finally stab him in the back. If Nixon were in power right now I doubt he would ever have gone down the way he did with these fuckwits standing in the way.

Agreed. Worth scalping his price out tho. It's bottomed and on the drift. Gives you some nice stake money for later on 🙂

And if you want to see why I am concerned read this nutters twitter feed...

    https://twitter.com/nealmeyer

Well yes he does sound like a nutter with his comrades stuff but I've been following U.S. politics quite a bit of recent, watching the impeachment hearings etc.... I like AOC and I like Bernie. Seems like a principled guy unlike the maniac in the White House right now.

Now that we can agree on. Bernie Sanders is probably the most principled candidate from both sides.

That impeachment is all for show by the way. It was always going to happen. Nothing will come of it because the Senate won't vote with the democrats. They just want to disgrace him before the election. I have a feeling the opposite will happen. Trump, love him or hate him will play this lot like a violin.

I fear that the same logic that resulted in the current situation in the UK may well result in the unthinkable happening again in my adopted country.

I am still kicking myself for not following John F's advice and backing the Tories to win....perhaps my old mum was looking down and pricked my conscience!

Good article that. I read four papers to get a balanced view and the guardian is one of them. I think you are right on the states.

That election was my most profitable and I called Brexit and Trump. Sorry you weren't on it but got to listen to our parents. I swear my mum still knows when I am being a moron(so most days then)

Not a fight. I accept what has happened and no doubting Corbyn was not the opposition the country needed. I'm just dismayed at 5 years under Liar Johnson. There goes the NHS. My wife is a nurse and things already at breaking point. His 50,000 more nurses thing was a joke haha!!

I know you have more than flippant jokes behind your opinions but honestly I'm interested in your answer unless you think Boris Johnson is the saviour. This isn't about Corbyn. I voted Lib Dem with a plain and simple goal to do everything within my power to keep out Johnson. Lib Dems were 2nd in my constituency and no one else stood a chance in getting out Robert Courts who is a complete t****r!

No I just think Boris was the least worst option and anything else would have resulted in more Brexit paralysis. I know a pretty decent financial adviser to corporations and he has spent months moving all of the utility company and rail companies holdings off shore in case Corbyn got in, which means nationalisation would have cost trillions. People and companies want to invest in the UK. They would not have done if Corbyn got in(his words not mine). They don't care about Brexit happening or not, they just need to know which way it's going because of pricing and then they will crack on. This country needed certainty one way or another and now we have it at least. Hopefully Boris meant what he said yesterday and time will tell. Don't be too quick to call him a liar as all the others are just as bad. They all say whatever they think people want to hear. Wrong I know, but there it is.

On a personal note I like our local MP. When we were having all the problems with our Aspergic son and getting him into a specialist school, I sent a stinking complaint email into the L.E.A. I cc'd him in on it not expecting anything and within half an hour his assistant and then subsequently him were on the phone telling me how they were going to help and within FIVE days of him stepping it it was sorted. So I was always going to vote for him.
