Yep. That's why the Spanish Flu had such a high death toll. Europe was financially drained after WW1 and simply didn't have the resources to deal with it. Added to that, people simply couldn't take days off back then.

20438 and 420 deaths. A few days behind the projections but not many and pretty worrying, particularly if you live in Asia

Also, the outbreak happened in a developed country, just like SARS. Mortality rate is around 2% for the Corona Virus. Down from around 4%.

Had the outbreak happened in Africa (depending on which African country) then you would be looking at a far greater mortality rate. Probably 10 times higher.

Corona Virus Update

Way behind the curve now thankfully. Over 14,000 infected and sadly just over 300 dead. Although there is a rumour that the Chinese are under reporting which wouldn’t surprise me.

I have a morbid curiosity with stuff like this. Like all the people who like the murdery stuff on Netflix.

I am ruined! Judging from my emails this morning I think I joined the conservative party last night. I know I met Andrew Pierce from LBC at one point. I congratulated him on the way he destroyed some bloke who phoned up and said all leavers were facist racists. The tories had loads of blonde bimbos recruiting and they were making beelines for middle aged men so obviously we were easy targets. I do remember we were singing that stupid 'Oooooh Jeremy Corbyn' song but with our well thought and and clever lyric of 'is a c**t' added in after every Corbyn. All in all one of my better nights lol
