results so far. I might give this a go also! What happens if there is a very early goal in the second half? Do you still trade after 60min or is that game now out of the select
Those results are based on there being a goal on or after the stated time regardless of what has already happened in the SH, so if there was a goal on 46' then i would still look at LCS on 60'. If there hasnt been a goal in the SH already then the figures are actually better but it obviously reduces the number of trades so its up to you

@richard-latimer Yes that’s right, the first 10 games would rule out a bit at the start of the season but I’m ok with that. Maybe at some point I’ll check if I’m correct but I don’t have the data yet
Regarding the grading, I just took the leagues which I believed were better quality and also more liquid for trading purposes. As I mentioned previously, my hypothesis was that higher quality leagues meant teams knew that each game mattered, that there was no danger of thinking ‘oh well, it’s not happening this week but next week will be easy’. I didn’t look at results in my decision. Most traders would probably agree on 80-90% the same leagues as each other if they did the same exercise

To clarify your point about filtering out weaker leagues, do you only have these set to return those leagues that are of the highest tier as per your post on this topic a week ago?
That’s right. The first filter still records the lower leagues even though I don’t trade them but the second filter only records tier 1 leagues
How did you come about grading those leagues and any chance you could post them here as won't get lost as easy?
Also if it's 10 games fromm this season it presumably means you're pretty much ruling out the first couple of month for each league. Would that be right? By the time they've played 5 at home for example they will be on 9 or 10 h/a combined.

@lee-woodman 24th August
Makes sense given you said a month!
Not a bad amount of daily selections either, not too many to get overwhelmed but enough to be an option
-
@lee-woodman thank you Lee!

@martin-futter What date did you start on?

@shaun-harrison Overall matches at 10 could be 6 for home and 4 for away, it could obviously be 7 and 3, or 8 and 2, but very unlikely, most would be 6/4, 5/5 or 4/6. Restricting it to current season means it doesnt look at last season, obviously, so a game would only appear when the combined teams have hit 10 games that season. The scope then would look at those last 10 matches combined, no more and no less so again it would only consider that season
-
@lee-woodman Sorry, i'm having a real brain drain moment in relation to the distinction between the "overall" and "home" or "away" statistics. It's been bugging me generally for a while.
Am i right in thinking that if your scope is the most recent 10 games, the "overall" stat measures across the most recent 10 games involving either of the two teams (which might for example be 6 involving the home team and 4 involving the away team)? Whereas the "home" stat measures across the most recent 10 games specifically involving the home team, and the "away" stat likewise for the away team?
If so, then for the "home" stat, is it taking the last 10 home games played by the home team, or the last 10 games, whether home or away, played by the home team? I assume the latter, because if the filter includes the teams once they have played 10 games, it is unlikely that they have played all 10 at home.

If anyone is going to have a look at these then I would suggest tracking and/or paper trading them for a while first to get a bit of confidence in the results. I’ve got a lot of confidence in the first filter particularly so it allows me to ride the inevitable waves of variance without panicking, which is a hugely important point. There’s quite a few selections so won’t take long to start to amass some results which have been recorded by yourself

@lee-woodman Thanks for sharing this Lee, great results
