Morning @Martin. On your daily email, you added the Chengdu match from you under 1.5 filter but left out Henan one.
Trying to refine (create?!) my own process so two matches reduced to one seemed like a good time to ask.

Actually, the only world cup of recent history to make money is Germany in 2006 and that was because they already had the infrastructure. Even London Olympics lost money. That's why more bids are becoming joint such as USA/ Mexico and Canada

Qatar is moving away from oil and making itself important to developed countries. They own the Shard in London, PSG, an airline, Al-Jazzera news, and one of the largest airports that require flights to changeover. Qatar also has the world's largest airbase with the most US military personnel outside of the USA. I would recommend anyone who's interested listen to The Rest is History podcast which covers the history of Qatar, really interesting.
Anyway, back to football talk, for such a football-crazy nation the stadium seemed to empty long before full time....At least the brighton players felt at home

It just strikes me that the reason some countries didn't want to host the Euros again on their own was because it cost too much or so I thought. Isn't that part of the reason they were held across Europe before as opposed to one country?!

BBC’s coverage tonight was a disgrace. They didn’t cover the opening ceremony, choosing to virtue signal instead. If the BBC feel that strongly about human rights abuse in Qatar (which they should) then they should have stayed at home. The presenters also should have stayed at home.
Gary Neville was on BEIN Sports saying the Arab World should host the World Cup. Which Arab country should host it then? This isn’t a dig at Arabs at all. However, it is a dig at the Arab Worlds theocracy.
Taking the knee before the game and wearing ‘One Love’ armbands means f**k all. If players were really concerned then they should have voiced their opposition long before the tournament kicked-off
Spare me the faux outrage
See Linekar has already addressed not showing the opening ceremony on BBC as there was a last minute schedule change. Apparently it was on BBC red button and iplayer.

I only watched the match didnt bother with BBC before or after and will do the same with ITV and all matches.
Not only should BBC have covered the tournament from the UK, ITV also on moral grounds but how much is this costing the licence payer when most people are struggling to make ends meet. I find this disgusting.
Lets face it FIFA is as corrupt as most of the Arab countries if not more so.

I was itching to watch that bit of analysis at half time on BBC, they didn't really clear it up did they and it seemed to me they were all not saying much about it.

Ecuador could run riot here with Mane out for Senegal, they have a good chance of going through goals against Qatar could be crucial
