@john-hurst whats the difference between my way of trading and the selections you have posted today? Dont worry about what its called, some say its trading others say its value betting who cares its p/l that matters. I know my way consistently makes me profit each month. You just need to stop and take a step back from getting involved in the markets. Paper trade until you know how to trade/bet with value in mind. Once you get confidence then things progress because you gain belief in your trades, its why often after a bad run of games i revert back solely to my standard trade. The william hill guy wont go into nearly the amount of scrutiny i would for a selection, i would like to say your wrong there and that is actually the biggest reason i profit and why he can keep making william hill and bet 365 super rich. This for me is what trading is rather than punting.

@darri thing is though is that i have tried everything. When things did work and i thought ‘im nearly there’ i then had loads of bad luck and losers putting me in a negative. Whilst taking a long term approach i stuck with things and it carried on in the same vein- great weekends then losers. Ive seen the things you ‘trade’ or ‘bet’ on and to me its akin to punting on things. If that works for you then thats great but i dont think its much different to what someone watching a match for a laugh does on william hill. You take a long term approach and track the bets/trades and are clever with how you recoup losses. That to me is the main difference.

@bottlabroon So by backing another goal i am betting? But if i cash out after a goal, that is trading? I always thought the difference was the approach to it. Either way i cant say it matters as long as it works. One thing i like about next goal ‘betting’ is there is no need to trade out and no issue with things like suspending markets.
You're right it doesn't matter at all John as long as you're comfortable with it.
I've had 7 trades today without a single winner. I've broke even on 6 of them though and just had the one loser at Leverkusen. If I'd had 7 losers without trading out though I'd be tearing my hair out and chopping and changing my strategies - I couldn't hack it and know it. That's my temperament. -
@john-hurst i know a lot of people have replied with posts about your trades mate and it probably feels like we were having a go at you. But its not its just people who have been in same position trying to give advice on what helped us move on to make profit. Best thing to do is to look at the best traders on here and take the good things from them and try see if you can adapt it to your style. Dont worry about technicalities of what a trade is or isnt just find a good way of trading for you. You will have noticed the pro/full time traders tend to rely on one main type of trade, dont go throwing money at things go paper trade until your comfortable, i saw you say you were giving up after Leverkusen, i cannot stress about how being in a good mindset affects trading. I took a month off in sept because of that.

play opening up in the chelsea spurs game. Will be looking for a late goal if it stays like this the next ten mins.

Don't see much value in the Mainze game so break time for me, back for the evening games.

@bottlabroon whats the difference between in play trading and in play betting?
If you were to go for 1 goal then it's a bet, it either wins or it loses.
If you were to go for 2 goals and look to take out the red or green up after 1 then it's a trade.Just the simplistic way I look at it.
