Evening All.
I appreciate I am new here and this question is probably old hat, however before I start my own research I thought I would see if anyone else already had this information.
Has anybody looked into a strategy for very late goals (in any league), for example laying current score after 85 minutes, or presumably backing another goal would be similar.
How do the typical odds on those markets, at that time in the match, compare to the percentage of goals that are scored after 85 minutes?
It's a strategy I want to start paper trading but if someone (or many someones) has thought of this already perhaps we could chat?
Thanks all.
Hi Matt welcome to the group mate.
i have tried without success on the late goal system either on 70mins or when it enters injury time. The injury time system the reward would be much better on the wins but you would have to accept a high percentage of losses which can effect people's mentality.
Paper trade first mate would be my suggestion and start with a filter looking at injury times if you want any help i will see if i can look at one for youFor a time, it was one of the biggest strategies on here, laying @ 1.3 around 85th minute and it did produce a lot of late goals but like everything I think it became a little lopsided and things started to skew back towards larger odds and a higher percentage chance.
There was a user on her some while back that literally laid around the 90th minute and he got some great results but from what I gather he got a little too big for his boots and so another bit the dust in terms of the forum.
I'm experimenting with some success, and it's fair to say, alot of justified concern, on the 70+ market. Time will tell on that.

I can see 6 possibly 7 teams being well adrift at the bottom of the table this season as things stand - palace, Viera’s managerial record is shocking, Brighton, Newcastle, the three promoted teams and maybe Southampton especially if they lose Ings
I think the Vieira appeal has definitely helped with our latest signings. I wouldn't be surprised if we've got him in to help attract younger up and coming players during this "transition period". Our objective should be the same as it's always been... finish above brighton!

@chris-osborne You can have Maguire back for 80m
Daka looks good, i hope he adapts to our game easily.
No thanks I think he’ll be good next year alongside Varane.
Daka should be fine he’s got time to adapt with vardy and inheacho there. One advantage is Zambia haven’t qualified for African cup of nations in Jan/feb next year which is going to have a significant impact all over the place. We lose Ndidi and Inheacho. If still there, Liverpool for instance will lose Salah and Mane.
I hope you are right about Maguire and Varane, I'm not 100% convinced but happy to be proven wrong.
I saw that about Zambia and thought it would be perfect for Daka, give him an unbroken year in the Prem and with Inheacho away maybe more game time.

@oliver-moore Well Bruce wasn't all bad for Villa... after all he did sign John McGinn from us for peanuts!

Loving our pre season at the minute Patson Daka, souyamre or however you spell it and Bertrand all excellent signings in positions of need. Still need a centre half and winger
@keith-anderson if your waiting for Telemans to sign for you will need to pay a lot more than the 64m being banded about
With Sancho and Varane virtually signed it much as I don’t like saying it but Man Utd clearly on a mission
-
@oliver-moore I think in the North something more 'substantial' than a cabbage will get thrown
Amazing that the guy keeps on getting jobs. Loved him as a centre half for Utd, really not great as a manager though.
-
@stuart-capstick As a Villa fan I can advise that 'Bruceball' is a thing; appalling, defensive, hope to nick-a-goal football.
I have no doubt that if fans were allowed in St James Park last year that there is no way he would be in charge - he would have been hounded out long ago. If it wasn't for someone chucking a cabbage at him, he may well still be in charge at Villa. You know what to do. -

@matt-wood we are terriable with the worst manger we will go on a terriable run where we wont in 8 or something and get dragged into at some point. Even if we do alright first few games( if we do odds go up ill be backing again on us to go down) we will be in a fight all year
the brand of football we play only ends one way its not even defensive like under rafa. we play defensive but now we got torn apart
The only part I would disagree with is the tactical analysis. Bruce manages like a child playing Football Manager 1988 (if that was even a thing, but you get the idea).

They could get Sigurdson on a free
-
@james-rome Such a shame for such a big club too. I don't think I can remember a time when they ever really got it together there. Nearest may have been under Kenny or Sir Bobby, but both were short lived. Huge club with huge support.
