@John-Folan ah great thanks John, I'll just use that one then! I assume it will just work fine as it is if I import all qualifiers by removing Fave from the BTC software strat and then this bot will only fire on the one fave at race start? I assume as you made that bot to just fire after the off using bsp I'm probably better off just leaving it as it is?!
Pretty much! Just make sure the tipster name matches the import name etc

@Paul-Keighley yes it’s done. If you search for the Back the Fave thread I uploaded a bot in the last couple of days(or just go back through my posts from my profile). It was a case of ticking the one bet per favourite position box.
Actually I found it. It’s set to go off after the race starts so you might want to change that to your preferred entry time.

Morning. @John-Folan I believe you'll be most likely to be able to answer my question! I can't for the life of me work out which rule to use on BFBM for the "Back the Favourite V3/4" strategy, to get it to only fire on the current fave at bet placement time. I've made a "Qualifiers" version so I have a load of selections to import but obviously want it to only fire if they are the fave at the placement time? All previous attempts have had 1 or 2 selections firing at different times for the same race. Or if you have a pre made bot for this particular strategy then that would be handy too i suppose?! Thanks

@Jonathan-Jones thank you so much for this, took me bit of getting my head round but i am pritty sure i have created the bot now. hopefully anyway fingers crossed it works. thanks for your time as so nice to learn how these things actually work.

@Greg-Mitchell yep I have the same problem. Will raise it with @Adam Edit: can't access software to get to support section lol
-
Anybody else unable to log into software?
-
@John-Folan
I thought that too.
This actually makes me feel a bit more confident about using it. It feels more 'analytical' and stable than some pundits (who may change) coming up with an interpretation (which is even more black box and maybe wouldnt be based on anything solid at all). Plus the fact it doesnt change means i can open my filters (so it just lists all the horsesa and their current rank) then re-order it before the race based on non-runners. I have a roadmap now for 100%, total hands off automation. Just one thing i need to experiment with. -

@Adam Bit like the roadworks on the M6! Will there ever be a day when you can go "Right, all finished"
Probably when they put the last nail in my coffin!
Although I might become a Buddhist just before that happens and come back as a horse...

So the forecast price is something specific to this software. From what you say that would be static for the race and shouldnt change through the day. So i could download the qualifiers at 9am on the day of the race and it would be those values used for the backtest the next day, its not something like favourite or volume?This is correct.
Must be angles with these. I thought it was the price from racing times or something. Not a BTC price. That’s my weekend gone

@Andy-Lucy
So, a way of using the conditions is to use the relative odds condition. You can do similar to the previous with that. You will need 2 of these. One for your runtime selection greater than the other selection sorted by back odds in position 2 and the other for your runtime selection less than selection sorted by back odds in position 4 (so, its got to be position 3 - 3rd fav). -

that be great if you could i feel draw bias is very important i realize it will be a lot of data needed different tracks with different distances it will be a good extra filter to have in the armory
I've added it to the development plan. We already have the data so it will just be a case of creating some rules around it.

@Andy-Lucy thanks i do that i keep you posted how i get on

@Jonathan-Jones i have currently set it up as the action still set too at runtime so i can pick selection in the automation tab and then have set the 2 conditions with the odds range to 3rd fav. i am thinking this will fire on selection if the 3rd fav is within the odds range set, however my selection might not be that 3rd fav at the time. im not very confident with the other conditions etc and assume thats where the option will be if possible.
-
@Jonathan-Jones, thanks for the reply. yeah thats the angle i was looking at, and there is same options in conditions tab. i just need it to fire if a specific selection(horse) that i load into it is the actual 3rd fav 10mins before the off with correct odds range between 2 and 7.
i have the time part and odds range part sorted its just the other bit was bit unsure off. it does look possible like you say just about knowing exactly how it works hey.
