Actually quite excited that I've decided my boy is old enough to be introduced to 'The Lost Boys'. Prob one of my favourite films of all time!
I love that film. I educated Squash (Joshua) with Total Recall on Saturday. Next up The Running Man
In other news. Army of the Dead. What a crap ending.
Love The Running Man
It’s my bag. Love a Dystopian Future. Plus it’s Arnie. Can’t go wrong.
I just know I'm going to be bitterly disappointed by my son's reaction. He doesn't get excited about anything other than Fortnite (although he did love Locke and Key and Stranger Things).
He'll give it a mark out of 10 (prob a 7 or an and look as enthused as if I just told him it was cabbage surprise for dinner.

Anyone remember the guy who tried to pay for something with a picture of a spider. Cracks me up. Had his books on my Amazon wishlist for ages.
Massive windup merchant. Aussie called David Thorne.

Audible have a £3 sale on with a few football related books in there. Has anyone read any of the Secret Footballer books, if so are they any good?

@john-folan I can’t wait to see it!

Just been to see Mortal Kombat with the teenager. Love my Cineworld Unlimited card. Great film, no plot whatsoever and loads of gratuitous violence. Proper 1980’s KungFu. Loved it.
FINISH HIM

@john-folan I mean it is a bit scary, are you a snapshot of what I will become?
Ducks is one of those things you soooo shouldn't like but I think its hilarious great addition to the movies!

@john-folan I feel that with the Star Wars and marvel ones too.
I actually felt the Star Wars ones were like right we promised them we know they aren't great lets get them out the way then we shall focus on the others with less pressure - as I liked Solo. They got Mando right too, I am liking the bad batch as well to be fair.
Marvel is so good, how they are linking it together, bringing in series and setting them up for the films like Wanda etc...
The mighty ducks thing is brilliant as well!
Sounds like we are on the same page. Not watched mighty ducks yet. Will have a go

@john-folan I really struggled with it, it had some cracking bits in but then it was a bit rushed in parts as well, found some bits it was made out to be a really tough ask that turned out to be a bit of a let down.
The first was amazing, I did like the characters back though!
I see what you mean. I’m half way through and that seems to be a trend.
It feels like there was no real plan for a follow up. He kind of did it because he had to. Forced. Like the new Star Wars Trilogy. No plan at all. Unlike the Marvel Universe where there are obvious plans and it works. On that note I have to say I’m looking forward to the new The Marvels film. Monica Rambeau was leading the Avengers when I first started collecting and she was a great character. Despite all the online hate Brie Larson is a brilliant Captain Marvel(not sure why she gets so much hate to be honest. Maybe people don’t get her very dry humour). I’m hoping they bring the original Captain Mar-Vell into it(he died of cancer in the comics. Really powerful graphic novel if you can find it anywhere) and Ms Marvel if she is anything like the version in the Avengers game will be a great addition.
Pumped for the Loki tv series as well.

Bit off topic but I’m reading Ready Player Two. Whilst it’s nowhere near Ready Player One it’s still a half decent read despite the fact he went a bit ‘woke’ a few chapters in. I’ve no objection to what he went on about just that it felt ‘shoehorned’ into the story. This seems to be happening a lot lately with books, films and tv and it’s a shame because it annoys a large percentage of people and probably has the opposite effect of what the writer(s) were/was trying to achieve. They need to be a bit more creative so it’s a proper part of the story and not an add on because they feel it has to be there. That said. Good book give it a go.
