@Nick-Segura There is huge liquidity on Cricket. Look at todays game SA v IND ...almost 58 million matched so far.

@Martin What I was surprised about is the amount of money exchanged on Cricket matches. I had never seen that before. I know someone that scalps match odds markets during water breaks and he told me to check it out during the IPL. I wonder if this is something that can also be done during Big Bash matches.

@Nathan-Bennett Is the big bash league as liquid as the IPL? Same kind of volumes? Or is the IPL in a league on its own?

Tell you what I was surprised by how small the crowds look!

@Stuart-Wallace Yeh I agree. Case and point being the AUS vs PAK game. After 2 days, looked like PAK were immovable, yet it was done inside 4.

i wondered about the 4 day factor, and then realised that min 100 over a dayagainst 90 for men , but also its rare for games to even go into 5 days for men nowadays

    Nice dosh before xmas !
Prices were silly low for LTD in the ENG game, lets see if same applies.

We can only hope. I guess the 4 day vs 5 day format brings the draw in too, especially after a few decent stands. And good to see the collapse still happens.

Totally agree, patience is key. It is almost set and forget for a few hours, even longer. Just need to understand the base point of the markets, which I'm definitely getting better at, and having lays set at expected prices from there.

IND W v AUS W - market just released - already got a LTD at sub 3. Have another queued up at 2 - lets see how that goes.
Weather in Mumbai is forecast dry . Stats for ground (Men ... almost no history for women) is 1 draw in last 10 with 3 innings wins . The last game there was the Patel 10 wickets game v NZ where 30 of the 33 wickets to fall were by spinners.
Can see a similar situation to the ENG W game where spinners rip through teams batting 3rd and 4th.

Big green for me on lay the draw in Aus test. I'm just taking that green now and leaving it there. Patience paying off big time in tests, looking forward to the next.

Thats the key with Tests...patience. its the main thing i struggle with, but its sooo profitable to have it in Tests. I often find myself dabbling with the 20 overs and ODI and nearly always lose, but with Tests i prob have about 90 per cent hit rate.

    AUS PAK
Incredible draw steamed into 2.7's one point

1.12 AUS seems sketchy despite likely to bowl minimum 5 sessions at PAK

another mini trade watch toward end of aus batting INNS is a back to lay of pak
see it heaps odds easily halve with not many runs scored example like a
    100@80 back
    200@40 lay
    happens heaps
    something to note anyways

Thanks for these tips @Nathan-Bennett, started to look for opportunities like this (although it didn't come off this time).

I managed to get an AUS lay yesterday at 1.11 and out at 1.2 for some extra green. But put it on again at 1.1 and lost it.

As you say, it happens, but green overall so happy days.

    Bring on the next test!

YES, been a nice sizeable profit on both games - even nicer when at one stage i had a medium red on the AUS game now sitting with a healthy green

    AUS PAK
Happy to lay 20% my green here
    AUS LAY 1.1
    Would love 1.3’s
Might not happen till PAK 30-0 when bat again ha
    But
PAK bowling real good at mo

Seems one of the few plays left after the draw very kindly shot out.

Ive done similar, and unless PAK make a real fist of it and the draw significantly comes in, thats probably me for this test. Nice to have some safe green at this stage!
