T20 SOME ENTRIES I LOOK FOR

    Back batting team first INNS
After 8-10-12 overs if only 2-3 down and seeing a few settled strokes / timing
    Odds 1.8+ or above SP
Look to close this position end INNS or if think its a winning score @1.2 fav

Runs markets Back overs late in INNS 6-4 overs to go

    Laying under 1.11
Especially the bowling team 2nd INNS even more so late in games
We all know this one and its crazy good when market is on your side
This point of trading becomes feel belief in whos at the crease stats help and v bowler stats pressure can be the intangible factor to counter all stats , helps more so using this sort of trade when already have banked green
Mentally feels like eliminating the gambling aspect and hope somewhat

Try to avoid laying batting teams
but couple entries to lay low odds at times is
    when chasing a low total
    seems odd too
However don't know if its cockiness from the chasers thinking its all said and done , sometimes wickets are just thrown away
    Another can be
If batting teams well on top late in there first INNS and super low fav sometimes a lay here is ok as above wickets can be thrown away but mainly whats on your side is the chasing power play to play fearless and shoot the market up

More often than not i try to free roll the low odds trades by removing liability at double or triple the entered price
[email protected] lay [email protected] back [email protected] styles
    and manage from there

Cheers for that nath! Few wins there already in the 3 games so far. Mumbai and Bangalore traded low whilst dominating with the bat, titans traded 1.1 and drifted heavy after having Lucknow 4 down early.

@stuart-wallace that game was another crazy one. 29/4 and the games all over according to the market. However one decent partnership and its 115/4, game on again. Think the moral there is, short odds in the first innings powerplay are probably an opportunity to lay at low risk. At 1.1 you could make decent green even with a few boundaries as it would go 1.2 or 1.3 etc.
However what actually happened is, the chasing team need 67 off 30 with 4 down and seemingly can't find boundaries... so the bowling team are sudden sub 1.4 and win surely?
39 runs off the next 12 balls and within a few minutes the odds flip again so the batting team are sub 1.4!

Think my approach from now on is to see if the odds are too short early in innings 1 and lay them for 10-20 ticks. Green up for a point or 2 early on and walk away.

Spot on. Hindsight 1.1 is a gift lay with no liability and plenty of opportunity to drift.

Phew, got out of jail there. Totally fucked up my trading on this game. Switched when Lukcnow went 2 down, hoping to pick up points when Rashid came on, but got caught up in having a large liability when Gujarat were chasing. Got totally messed up , and never to be repeated (taking up large liability when you think its done and dusted). However, bottom line is a 4 pt green, but i really put myself through it.
    Phew....again.

At 29-4 never expected Lucknows side of the 1.4 ledger to be matched

@stuart-wallace really interesting one today. Thanks for your analysis. I'm at work this afternoon so I'll be watching but I think I'll only trade it if something really obvious comes up.

Anyone trading the IPL game today at 3pm? - Gujarat v Lucknow - 2 new teams for this season i think.
Gujarat are 1.76 and Lucknow 2.34

Seems that Lucknow are not at full strength waiting for most of their overseas players to arrive.
Any team that has Rashid Khan is going to a force, so Gujarat to me look deserved favourites.
Gonna trade this one today, not gonna do the 1.4 strategy as dont think its really workable long term, just feel there are going to be so few games that will hit 1.4 on both sides. Gonna look to lay the batting side initially as both are new teams and looking for a style, plus also going to lay the batting side when Rashid comes on to bowl (normally around 7th over, if looking to go outside the Power Play).

@stuart-wallace i haven't adopted that method yet as i don't want a sort of set and forget strategy just yet. I'm still trying to learn the markets and how they move etc.

I did lay RCB around 1.3 when they came to bowl, with the plan to get out at 1.75 if it got there. However I ended up bailing around 1.6 as i was fearful of a wicket... inexperience there i guess.

Excellent day though, easy to green in both games i guess with swings like that... however, I wonder how often does that happen? Or do games go the way of yesterdays one more frequently? I guess I'm looking for predictability in a very unpredictable market!

BOOOM profits locked in on both ipl games today with 1.4 method. Some big swings

Huge swings in both games today.

Interesting Matt , coz i adopted that strategy yesterday, and thought to myself that it would take 2 mighty swings for both teams to hit 1.4, but clearly it happens.
