had a quick look at the Kingsmead stats..

1 draw in last 12 (and that one was clearly hugely rain affected v NZ, as didnt even get into 2nd innings for both teams.)
    3.4 for LTD at moment

@andy this felt like another one sided match after the powerplay so learning from yesterday i traded it differently. Only managed to green half a point but better than losing a point like yesterday. Progress.

I'd happily take half a point green as the price of tuition. I scratched 2 days ago after not closing a position that was gold. On review I know what I should of done and what I needed to do to build from there. Mistakes are there but not as often and not as damaging. Progress for sure.

@andy it looks like that almost perfect storm, humid, late 20's, coastal ground, cloud cover for a lot of the time.

@stuart-wallace was just about to ask you. Does the ball do even more later in the season there?

Durban can swing early doors, think Hove on a humid morning (hmmm, no, nor can i now!). IF SA decide to bowl first then go Lay BAN big time imo

methinks its a good day to trade , not worrying about huge swings in the IPL ! though you never know !

@matt-ayles oh , thanks for heads up.
Yes, Durban can be a bit wet this time of year, i should know i lived there for a little while! Might want to see what market is saying after first session, although if BAN are batting first, i might have a little Lay on them to begin with.

Fair enough mate! In which case focus on tomorrows test match in Durban which has threat of rain on 3/5 days... plus there's an ODI tomorrow.

Given that they're odds on, their bowling attack is heavily depleted, and it might rain on days 3-5, a lay of SA looks solid on paper.

    @matt-ayles Wow another huge swing

I know! Amazing stuff! Didn't see this one coming either. Just goes to show, so far, in the IPL at least, lay low!

not much depth here in RCB lineup here
one or two wicket here could have massive swings
i am having lay here at 1.41

    well.. loss in that trade

Harshal Patel 2 for 0 off 2 overs including the wicket of Andre Russell. Incredible

Some simple analysis of the IPL thus far.
Obvious spot is that all games have been won by team batting 2nd - would expect the main reason for this is the effect of dew on the ball for team bowling second.
Also notice that games played at Wankhede tend to be lower scoring so far, although small sample size so far.

I only really look at last 3-4 years but wankhede is generally good scoring (170ish off memory) with a trend to the chase (60% again off memory). I do have the venue marked as a chase watch tho.

Horrible IPL game! So one-sided! Took a low lay on RR but looks certain to be a losing trade this time. Undoes my good work on the Aus game!

    Never mind, happens!

Same here, ended up about net zero !

Hmmm, Oz 1.12 ...tempting, especially as PAK still have their opener unbeaten on 50+
