What are the odds of the match lasting until lunch tomorrow?

Is this a test match or an ODI?! Wickets galore.

Was wondering what a good target for England to chase would be but 150ish is the average 4th innings at Lords but that's normally on days 4/5 not 2!

Average second innings is around 280 i think?

Fancy a back of England around 2.2. Got to think Anderson & Co will make early inroads once they bowl.

The captains curse has struck already!

I’m surprised the draw price is lower than 10. That implies 10% chance of draw, when in reality it’ll probably be more like 1% without rain. I’d be surprised if both sides come out with big scores and play for a draw?

Also not surprised that ENG are 1.7 and NZ 3.1 - batting fourth is always the worst, however, thats normally on day 4/5 - this could be day 2/3 when the pitch could be at its best to bat on.

Amazing to think that at one stage this morning the draw was trading at 2.34 - after about 20 minutes of play on day one. Who on earth was backing at under 3. They're in serious need of therapy!

These conditions also suit NZ bowling. If Englands openers go I wonder if the price would move? Realistically you’ll need an England collapse or rain to stop them winning from here.

Just checked the Met office and doesn’t look like there’s any rain except Sunday morning

hense my brain says decent window to have a throw lay see if doubles at some point
    and
if say ENG 1.1's when NZ bat again i'll be tempted for sure ha

Utilising the famous "what has to happen" method of trading, with NZ 2 or 3 down it was feasible to see a partnership develope at some point... however now 7 down for no runs with the tail fully exposed I can't see it... the England of old were terrible at seeing off the tail but we've had less than 30 overs and the balls still swinging...

Yes England are very short seeing as it's so early but personally I don't feel confident that their price will drift until we come to bat and Boult removes our openers for similar.

    Thoughts?

Draw layers dream this! Already locked in and its still session 1!
Agree that any team odds on in Day 1 (let alone session 1!) is madness... although I don't think now is the right moment to lay, the balls still swinging.
