Simple T20 Strategy given to me by a good friend
IPL coming up we had a terrific Big bash using this
CRICKET STRATEGY :-
This is a fairly straight forward Cricket strategy that is easy to follow, even if you are a beginner or have a limited knowledge of cricket.
For more experienced gamblers....errr....traders, it can be modified accordingly and I will be covering it further down the article.
This strategy works BEST for T20 games ONLY and even than for teams fielding good reliable players eg. Top rated international teams, IPL and possibly BBL.
I don't really recommend it for other formats. So here it is....
STEP 1. ALWAYS, if possible, do the homework on the game you are going to trade on eg.
the ground statistics, opening/middle order batsman's averages, middle order batting reliability, average team scores etc.
This will help with making tough decisions during the game progression.STEP 2. Back the team batting first. If things go to plan the price will drop and should be able trade out at 20%-30% profit.
For the conservative ones 10% is fine and for the more adventurous ones trade out at 30%+.
Just remember, greed is not your friend....most of the times
.STEP 3. If things don't go to plan and it starts going south, trade out at 50% loss......END of that trade !!
STEP 4. This is for the more experienced ones who have experience/knowledge of cricket
and will lead to either more riches or pain and misery (serious discretion advised). If things start going south.....
-
you have the option to switch sides ie. back the other side and minimise loss or even get in to a position of making a profit.
-
if early on in the innings and if confident that middle order can save the game than back the batting team for a further 25-50% or more
....use your judgement. Let the trade run and hope that the team will post a decent score and may still able to make a profit. -
Sometimes it doesn't matter what you do.....everything will just go tits up (you know what I mean !!).
The only thing to do is minimise the losses.....90% loss is still better than 100% loss !!
Tomorrow is another day.....

IND ENG
Just tuning in
Pitch looks good for batting
Hopefully draw price steams in when IND bat and lay some pointNZ AUS
Despite NZ being so poor draw odds may have some legs in it for a small back to lay @10’s and flip it @7’s ish
Had a small back to kick off before tmr -
Would we say a similar thing about the NZ vs AUS test too? Weather looking good so expecting a result? Both attacks looked good and batting very fragile in 1st Test.
LTD under 5.0 value here too?
-
Looks unlikely that the weather will intervene in Dharamsala, and I reckon we'll be pretty safe laying the draw if it dips under 5.
There has only been one Test played a this ground against the picturesque backdrop of the snow covered Himalayas, and that was all of seven years ago, but it was a pretty low scoring game with the Aussies skittled out very cheaply in their second innings.
It wouldn't be hard to imagine England suffering a similar fate on the evidence of recent matches, and despite talk of the teams fielding more seamers, I fully expect the lion's share of wickets to go to the spinners.
-
Draw price now going up, looks to be warming up after Thursday (as per BBC weather)
-
@Stephen-Hancox Yep, dont think ive ever seen a game where snow stopped play. However, it seems that pitch is going to be seamer friendly.
-
@Nathan-Bennett I'm not getting involved just yet, too much unknown as it stands for me.
-
Are we draw loading IND ENG
-
@Stuart-Wallace Weird isn't it, also frost might be a factor first thing according to BBC weather
-
Seems like IND V ENG 5th test could be affected by snow.
-
NZ AUS
AUS LAY 1.11
See where this takes me
...
Change of INNS took half back 1.18 -
NZ AUS
Draw lay 2.9 taken stake half stake back 9.2 Incase another angle to fire with -
u10's piece of cricket that by Kane
Nice for the draw lay tho thanks -
@Stuart-Wallace just reading this . i've re layed more at change of INNS here
...
day 5 the rain day if any -
AFG v IRE - got a large lay on IRE at 1.61. Seems like pitch is playing easier, and also IRE have to bat last on maybe day 4 when spin gets to be problematic.
Also, took out all my liability on LTD (all for 5 pounds !) -
@Nathan-Bennett any views on LTD which is, imo, incredible value at 5.2. However, possible weather later?
-
NZ AUS
Was busy working to message
But draw lay in the 2's was pretty much a dont think just bet lay -
@Stuart-Wallace said in BTC Cricket Trading Thread:
AFG V IRE going nicely already for LTD - already up to 34 !
So much for spinners taking the wickets - all 7 of AFG wickets to fall have been to seamers.
so much for AFG batting 1st and doing anything. The draw shot up to 9.0 pre off so i waited for the 1st hour expecting a tumble, but not quite that fast, by the time i checked, draw was already too high.
Lesson for next time, just queue at 5, game was never ending in a draw rather than waiting for better odds incase AFG actually got a start.
-
I filled up on LTD too. Waiting for low odds either team to scalp a bit using the green
