weather looking very grim for next 4 days
Yes. The weather.com channel seems best for judging the likely weather in this part of the world.

1.6 looks like a resistance point so have taken out most of the liability there. I suppose with three days play still due, it may not go much higher than that after all. But with three more days of rain forecast, there could be plenty of swings to come so I'll see how it's looking tomorrow morning. The radar has been quite accurate so far.

Thunderstorms for several hours according to weather.com
-
Layed again at 1.53. Went quickly.
-
@nathan-bennett Now looks to me that that might be it for the day. Zimbabwe grounds were notorious for poor drainage a few years back. Don't know if there have been any improvements. But could easily see Windies drifting to 2 and up. Time will tell.

@richard-futter too good !!!! expectations here on duration
-
Hmmmm... nice

@richard-futter updates love this

Thunderstorms close by!

Maybe the new ball will liven things up. Fingers crossed.

West Indies batting is so dull these days - a far cry from the Sobers, Richards and Lara eras

@stuart-wallace-0 yep draw trims biggest market mover . suspect even from here probably only need a maximum of 150 overs to get a result
so for me would probably eye a lay on the reaction of the trim rather than get on the draw back train -
@stuart-wallace-0 I would look to lay Windies or back the draw if rain does look imminent. The move often overshoots under those circumstances, so I would then look for a rebound, especially as it looks to me that over the course of the match, there's every chance the weather will be much better than forecast. At the moment, I'm still scalping by siding with the Windies.

trading could be mental if rain happens in this session sometime
Not like WI can put pedal to the metal to gain big lead and lose wickets frequently just yet . -
Looking at the radar, it is possible Bulawayo might escape the worst of the rain, despite the gloomy forecasts.
-
Only 1 tick ahead so far but love seeing the green on
ENG W LAY tonight -
Still dry in Bulawayo, although the radar shows there's plenty of rain in the vicinity. Even so, I reckon Windies are way ahead of the game here and it will take an awful lot of the wet stuff to prevent them scoring a resounding victory against a thoroughly demoralised Zimbabwe team - the equivalent of two days completely washed out at least.
Even so, we can expect some big swings both ways when the showers hit, which looks as though it will be around the middle of the day as things stand. A perfect opportunity to make lots of profitable swing trades which don't really occur in any sport other than Test cricket when there isn't any action on the field of play.

One source suggests approx tea rain begins ish
FWIW
I have laid some 1.61 WI
Hopefully a lot of dot balls first session todayok have mis read the state of play have aborted the WI LAY for now
book still fat green
-
WI lay possibly. Judging by the last test, it will take a while for play to resume if there’s any significant rainfall.
-
So... switching to a Windies lay or a back of draw given the forecast?
