@nathan-bennett yep India have just declared so 22 overs at SA today enough time to have them in trouble by stumps.
-
drip lay draw time SA INDIA me thinks
-
Cheers @Richard-Futter I thought that was the case but hadn't really seen that much of a jump before. India are doing well so trade still in. More hoping that it'll go back to 1.5 before closing out I reckon.
-
@simon-miller It was down to the weather forecast. No one was expecting the rain which stopped play for the day, so the draw price was bound to come in and hence India's drift. With the sun shining again this morning, the batting side's price has come back down.

I laid Pakistan @1.22 this morning after I heard SL were batting first. Pakistan now chasing 298 and have come out to 1.78. I dunno but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen this movie before so I’m holding fire as I think SL are in this now big time!
-
@james-woodroffe haha I know it is amazing all these years and they still haven't figured it out! i think it must be something psychologically to do with a fear the fact that draws do occasionally happen out of the blue!
-
I’m still fascinated by why punters love to back the draw so much. Despite the crappy weather India couldn’t be anymore in control of this test and will most likely only require two days max to bowl SA out twice. On a side note I’m off to Shanghai in the morning has anyone who has been there ever been able to access Betfair via their VPN, or have they tried and it’s not worked? Cheers.

@richard-futter the best

India return to Test action early tomorrow and although their price of 1.54 may not look too attractive at first sight, I reckon it'll be money in the bank.
While there's been plenty of unseasonal rain about on the Sub-Continent, the forecast for Visak looks set fair, and against a thoroughly dispirited South African side I can only see one result.
The pitch is expected to be a slow turner - the very last thing the Proteas want - and there could be plenty of turn on day one. That will be music to the ears of Ashwin and Jadeja.
And if you want an even more certain outcome, a lay of SA at around 8 will take any rain out of the equation. India have lost only one of their last 29 home Test matches and I'll be astonished if Du Plessis's men put a dent in that proud record.

Just a heads up guys if you don’t know. Sony Max channel 715 on Sky has the Pakistan v Sri Lanka match live. At the moment Pakistan trading at 1.10 and SL around 11.50, 33 overs into the Pakistan innings.
-
@nathan-bennett wow well there you go then!
-
@martin-futter CPL last couple games good example chasing side into 1.07 ish still 6-7 overs to go and lost
-
was speaking with @Richard-Futter this week and he was talking about how often teams trade very short with plenty of game time left to be played. there is very often some kind of bounceback towards the underdog in these situations, obviously something we have talked about before but thought it was worth reminding everyone, think cricket is the best sport for this happening fairly consistently!
-
@luke-ridger strange to shake hands on it with 10 mins left really by Somerset!
-
Time to lay draw in the Somerset vs Essex match, 63 runs needed in 16 overs to win the title. 1.46 lay.

@simon-miller
Think I’ll try and see what happens -
Noticed that it a team in T20 is batting so well that the opposition drifts to 80-90 that all it takes is a wicket or 2 to get that other team to come in to between 30-60. Well worth a small back bet in these circumstances I think.
