@ryan-carruthers thanks @Ryan-Carruthers really appreciate the feed back. I have a question re my Garin Trade. Despite the loss on Dimitrov did I do the right thing by closing out when I did or would I have been better off to remove all liability at 1-0 in the 2nd set and let it run as I was confident that Garin would win the match or was it smarter to just make sure I finished the day at scratch as opposed to 2 points down had Garin gone on to lose and back myself to make up those two points lost with following trades over the next day or two? Cheers.

Some nice trading here, the Novak trade is one I really like. It also shows maturity as a trader to be honest, a lot of people would never oppose Novak.... but that as traders is what we we do, we question things - then use logic to reason our decisions. Excellent job here!

So here is a honest and truthful look back at today Tuesday and how its panned out thus far..
Lets start with the bad shall we?**IPL SUNRISERS V CAPITALS
I was looking forward to trading this match and the reasons were I have to admit partly cynical. I had the Sunrisers down for the win as it was "their turn" I know how that sounds and in a chat with somebody I was told I needed to put those kind of things out of my head and just concentrate on the trading opportunities but I spent way to much time in the sub continent and at various IPL's to just forget it, and I mean that respectfully. If theres one thing the IPL loves its having pretty much every team in the play off picture as we reach the business end.
Its an aside but I was once told in Pakistan that India would win a 5 match ODI series 3-2 and when I questioned the well dressed gentleman who he was and how did he know? He simply replied "I'm the chief of Police here in Lahore, Woody its my job to know." I never went thru with his "tip" but our senior Cameraman got a lovely deposit together for a beautiful home on the Northern beaches of Sydney so my cynicism is sadly part of how I view the IPL but I'm working on putting it out of mind from a trading perspective but sometimes I just have a hunch and most times I'm pretty accurate.BACK TO THE MATCH.
I waited for Warner and Saha to get set and could tell pretty quickly that Dave Warner was on and at the end of the 3rd over I put a 5% stake on SRH at 1.60. A few overs later I thought I would remove just a bit of liability Sunrisers were flying but a couple of wickets would change that but they were on track for a very good score. This is where it went pear shaped. Sunday I was blessed with a mistake that paid off, everything that goes around comes around and I clicked on the Delhi price but of course 1 click was activated and I hadn't moved my stake price so suddenly I'm in a pickle and whacking the cash out button.. I get out with 0.5 point green locked in and no chance presented to back SRH again as they canter to 219 from their 20 overs and the Delhi quicks leaving a lot to be desired.
They start the run chase at 1.19 and I'm thinking Delhi won't get this but it looks a pretty decent deck and they've got enough dangerous batsman to at least make it interesting. Dhawan after back to back centuries falls for a duck and they just never get going in fact they're awful, get smashed and I lose a Point.
I fiddle about with the software in training mode and get used to doing stuff quickly and working the old muscle memory. It sucks cause it would have been a nice green profit but I won't be making the same mistake again and tomorrow is another day.DIMITROV V KHACHANOV Vienna 500
Didn't really do anything wrong here it came up as a Lay the First Set Winner and a strong one at that. Dimi won a tight first set 9-7 in the breaker (I think it was 9-7 it was tight) then run away with the 2nd set. I reached my stop loss when Dimitrov broke early and bailed out for a 3 point loss.
Here is what I did right (FINALLY!!)
Djokovic vs Kraijanovic Vienna 500.
Djoko as you can imagine was super short odds on here 1.09 at the start but one thing about Djoko is he can be slow out of the blokes and Kraijanovic is no mug. You don't make a Masters 1000 final if you can't play and it was Paris which is indoor hard court just like Vienna so I thought that Novak would be in for a tough match but was banking on one of those slow to wake up Novak performances against a quality opponent.
I risked 1.5 points at the get go as Novak was serving first and I was right. He saved 2 break points in his opening service game and I was able to remove 0.5 point in liability. I continued to chip away and by the time they sat down at 2-1 I only had 0.5 point liability. Djokovic then broke to take a 3-1 lead but because I had hardly any liability I stayed in because he was not exactly serving great himself. Kraijanovic broke straight back and it was 3-2 on serve for the sit down. Kraijanovic was able to hold and get it to 3-3 he then had break point and I removed the last of the liability as he broke to take a 4-3 lead. I stayed in but was thinking oh me my when he went down 15-40 on his serve. He got out of it to take a 5-3 lead and I had a point profit sitting looking at me. I stayed in for one more Djokovic service game knowing nothing would happen with my profit. Djoko held and I got out at 5-4 Kraijanovic serving for the set. I've seen this way to many times so I wasn't taking any risks and I'm glad I did. Djoko broke back levelled the set at 5-5 and won the first set in a tie break and the match in straight sets.GARIN V WAWRINKA Vienna 500
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that Christian Garin was 3.60 to knock off Stan in their first round match. I managed to get matched at 3.55 and by the time they started he was out to 3.80.I put in a 5% back stake on Garin and he almost immediately got the break. I removed a chunk of the liability and was left with 1.5 points liability but looking at a green screen. Stan had a couple of moments in particular as Garin served for the opening set so I moved just under 3.5 points green on Garin and 1 point green on Stan. The Chilean held his nerve and took the first set 6-4 (just completed as I was typing the Djokovic trade) Stan held to go up 1-0 in the 2nd and decided that was enough and closed out for a 2 point profit.
After the Dimitrov loss earlier I was back to scratch for the day. The 3 points lost on Dimi recovered thanks to Kraijanovic (or sleepy Novak) and Garin.I'll live with the brain fart on the Cricket but I'm not happy.
CRICKET = - 1 POINT
TENNIS = SCRATCHOnwards and upwards tomorrow with some more great matches in Vienna and an absolute cracking match in the IPL.

will be hard at times but the results, getting to spend time building lego with the little man, will be worth it. Hopefully will help me, I'm sure it will, to get to my target of secondary income. -
@james-woodroffe Hi James, really interesting read, I look forward to following your blog and picking up up some knowledge on tennis and cricket from you. It's good for you that you are able to focus on your family while your son is young, these are precious times that pass all to quickly.

@martin-futter I’m definitely going to be cutting back on my football trading for the foreseeable future. I’ll be focusing predominantly on cricket and tennis. I get a little bit like a puppy sometimes with the volume of football that’s played.
