Any thoughts towards the next test with the current draw price? Seems like rain is a possibility, which I assume is already priced in?

@andrew-wooding not something I've often applied its more of a statistical thing if your happy to let this strat run throughout and entire game and or not watching and just want to gamble .. I like to be aggresive when enter and look to get my red out as fast as possible and assess . often games start with teams $2 a piece there's many different ways to double your money in a game of t20 the times I've done my dough often is when trading from the off so i tend to hold to wait for scenario i like ... you'll learn a lot just from market observation aswell .. im sure others have ways of doing things never a science to it just experience of losing and winning a sussing what works for you

@nathan-bennett amazing thx Nath. Dies the binary โ€˜lay both teams at 1.4-1.5โ€™thing actually work consistently? Or as I suspect is it a lot more nuanced than that?

Couple strats/angles worked well for me at times t20 pending what talent is at the crease and or bowling

First innings after 8-10 overs run rate fair and batting team only 2-3 down and 1.8+ back till end of innings and or 40-50 ticks
Second innings chasing huge scores back batting team look to reduce liability if off to a flyer during powerplay and assess trades
Market odds yes laying low 1.2 even 1.1 can provide dividends late in games doesn't take much to double market odds in this format

@sajjo-lohar yea I was looking at doing something on this. I know T20 is a crazy place to try and trade. I was contemplating stealing ticks after a wicket goes down. Back the batting team straight away to catch the overreaction. Any thoughts?

It can be a goldmine, this article should help, I know @Richard-Futter is trading it hoping for some nice low odd lays! https://betfairtradingcommunity.com/en/blog/7-steps-master-cricket-scalping-trading-betfair

CPL IS starting tomorrow. Anybody trading the T20 stuff, and got any helpful tips ? I saw the tactic in the strategies section about laying 2 closely matched teams at 1.4 each . And all these squads ( besides St Lucia Zouks) look very evenly matched.

Is there any point of playing today?... Just cancel it.

There is. Hoping for another 15 overs so the Eng 1st Innings Runs market pays out.

Cricket due to start at 11.... but it's delayed by the groundsman coming on with sawdust even though he could have done that hours ago. Only in cricket!

Just a thought, but looks like we're going to get some play. The draw is layable at virtually no cost, and a few quick wickets would certainly push the price up a few ticks. Not out of the question if the Pakistan quicks hit their straps.

@richard-futter great last line ha . good write up cheers

Having lived in Leicester all my life and a lifelong supporter quite liked that last line myself

In all seriousness thanks for that post @Richard-Futter it has put things in perspecive. All part of the learning process.

I read on Sky SPorts that there's been huge criticism of the lack of play from thr commentators in this test match. Feel sorry for the players living in a bio secure bubble since end of June without seeing families and not being able to play.

Rain is one thing and fair enough but in this day and age if grounds have floodlightls available why aren't they used and bad light becomes irrelevant.

The ICC needs to have a look at Playing conditions and how they are managed around the world.

@richard-futter Thanks Richard. It is good to here things like this from such experienced heads. Makes it clear that the newbies like me are not getting it wrong but just happened upon a test that ended in a draw.

Your advice, as with others on here, is very much appreciated ๐Ÿ‘

    Catch that Green!
