Historical Data

Does anyone have any historical data to test a system against, I have a filter set up but want to back date it to see if it runs a profit? 2-3 years is all I’m looking for? Can’t seem to get my head around the historical data Betfair page, was wondering if anyone had some. Only looking for match odds markets.

@james-h i have all top 5 leagues, for this year nearly done. Its on a £2 a point basis as it will be easier to work out your own points. Will upload with google sheets with filters when finished may be tomorrow may be monday.

@james-h Will do, He works only with the top leagues so i am going to use just those atm as this sheet adam has kindly made has around 1200 games, i should be able to set this up by middle of next week to run systems off!

Funny you should mention that, I've just started listening to his podcast and had a bit of a dig around his website yesterday!
I agree, seems like something that can be done manually if you're willing to put in a little time. Let us know how it goes

Thanks James, Ive just seen that sheet ive downloaded, and now filtering it down. It will take a couple of weeks. But i was looking for something that FTSIncome has, but i dont feel the needed to pay £240 a year for data that in all cases is free.

I've tried messing with Betfair historical data before with no luck too - I think it's beyond my capabilities with a computer!

If you're looking for more than just the previous year, the closest I have found is this: http://www.football-data.co.uk/data.php
Both sources use data from bookies (the results sheet is Betfair Sportsbook and the Football Data link is Bet365), but since they both usually track the exchanges in some way you could maybe just add a few ticks to each one.
