Anyone trading the darts? The draw looks severely weighted to the top half, so having a back of Michael Smith (16) Mensur Suljovic (25) and Ian White (120). The first 2 are in the same quarter so I’m hoping they meet in the 1/4 finals then I’ll asses the trade at this point. Ian White is a long shot, but in the easiest quarter by far, so hoping his price can come in if he progresses and bigger names in his quarter get knocked out.
I also like the look of laying “will there be a 9 dart finish - yes” at 1.88. Looks value to me, although they are more common these days, I still think this looks too short. -
Have greened up now. -0.5 pts on White, -1 pt on Suljovic and +5 on Smith. Happy with that.
Going to let the 9 dart bet run the course. 2 games left, fingers crossed. -
Smith looking good for a place in the semis here

So Suljovic and White were both knocked out before Christmas. White was 2-0 up and had come into 60 at this point, then blew it and got beaten 3-2, so that was hugely disappointing as could have made very good profit off that trade had he converted. Anyway, Smith still going strong, and with Cross out last night, his chances look even better. He’s into 6.6. My plan was to review the trade at the 1/4 finals, and probably take some profit. However, the tournament is wide open now, and Smith is strong favourite to win tonight, so I may let it run a bit further, or remove some liability. I’m not yet decided.
Also the lay of 9 darter yes is still goingNot too many games left so hopefully nobody manages to convert one.

Peter Wright getting knocked out last night really helps all my picks, Ian Whites quarter looking even weaker and the bottom half of the draw as a result too. Long way to go though.

@sam-harding yeah looks a good sport to swing trade for sure, quite similar scoring to tennis and you can get big swings/over reactions. I just don’t know enough detail about the players to be confident putting money down in play.

Have you looked at trading in play? I saw some big swings last night in the Rob Cross game
