BTC Daily Email Q and A Thread

@martin-futter
thank you , please specify a little your u2.5 strategy, i have already read that if no goals after 20min you hedge your bet for a profit, but what do you do in case of a goal scored before that, you trade out for a partial loss immediately after the goal? or wait risking for a total loss? -

hi guys, a question for Martin/Ryan regarding,
Europe - UEFA Champions League / Europe - UEFA Europa League
why do you guys avoid trading these leagues?Hi John,
They are technically cup games and as such are different to league games and I think this can lead to a differing strategy from teams. Also, a team can have a different mentality as they are much more afraid of losing as usually this will mean elimination (although in the early stages of the CL and EL this is less of an issue).
The other issue is form, these teams play in different league and thus the form is nigh on impossible to compare. I'm a stats guy and want as much recent data as I can use so this makes trading difficult when there is not a lot of relevant data to work from.
I don't totally avoid them but I do tend to and am extremely careful.
Thanks

Hi Martin, new member here ans first question goes to you.
I am fancy from your 3 months goal results based on software stats (u 2.5 goals, BTS No, o1,5, o 0.5 HT) posted also in your blog which is the main reason i register with BTC.
Do you think it is a good start point as a noobie to start betting on these value goal selections you email to us every day as well?
Also which option should be more lucrative to follow with them? Should i let them run or should i trade out after 30 minutes or HT maby from your experience?
regards
KonstantinosHi Konstantinos,
I would suggest following the advice in the daily emails. Also, have a look at the selections yourself to see if you agree with them and wish to trade them. That way you are not solely reliant on another person and also it will help you learn to research trades.
Thanks

Hello Martin my name is Tyrone I am new to the forum and I was wondering about how do you actually place the trades for horses I had been been doing match betting for just over 9 months now now and had good results with it but has been getting basically restricted by most of my my bookies this just seems like a natural progression but but I am a bit confused in how you place these trades. Because when I look at the odds they are are somewhat off so do I lay is there some way of giving me a step-by-step in terms of how to do this I do the research but it's just not making too much sense to me. Oh and the reason why I prefer the horses over probably the football is that I work during the night so it would be quite a good thing for me to be focusing on
PS sorry about the long message I hope you have a great evening hope to hear from you soon thank you
@Martin-Futter
Hi Tyrone,
Never apologise for asking a question buddy that's what I'm here for
You have a few options,
-
Lay to SP, you can lay to SP at anytime before the race, you choose your liability and it will auto-lay for you. Upside you can do this at anytime. The downside is you would lay to liability rather than stake.
-
Lay to stake as close to the off as you can. Upside you will get close to SP price. The downside is you would have to be trading near the off.
-
Automate it. Get a bot to do it for you.
Cheers.

@martin-futter I think this would be a great idea too if it's possible
-
@gary-haigh Great Idea! we can use google hangout live and we can follow step by step the pros. ist hat possible ryan carruthers ?
-
@martin-futter yes martin, sorry i should have mentioned that.
-
@ryan-carruthers my thinking was maybe you or martin could pick one of your selections from the daily e-mail,and go live with it on a saturday describing in a bit of detail beforehand your reasoning and selection process for that particular trade, new members would benefit and maybe the community could get involded on the day.just a thought mate.
-
@gary-haigh How exactly do you see this working buddy?
-
@Ryan-Carruthers @Martin-Futter as an general idea,i was just thinking maybe we could have a saturday trading day where the pros could put a trade of the day selection and involve the BTC community,is this possible?
-
hi BTC can anyone help with the unders galore strat? what is the strat and how do u play it? back under 2.5 goals then cash out at 25% profit?
-
@johan-lidrot so many factors at play there, such as:
odds taken
whether you trade out
if you trade out when you trade out
if you take a loss if trade goes south
if you filter games further by doing the recommended further researchbest advice I can give you is to paper trade it for a month or two and see if it works for you.
-
Hi ! What can I expect to profit from Martin's Lay The Draw At Half-Time with 10 pounds stake?
-
@jason-gambling depends on odds and leagues, I'd be weary of anything 5.0+ tbh as you would need an 80+% strike rate just to break level.
