So another interesting thing that has just happened is the Conservatives Ads for Facebook, they have literally just loaded up a whole host of adverts to try and they have loads of different versions of them and have started split testing.

This happened for Trump when he wont the election in the states he was smashing up adverts on social media and also Brexit the same strategy was applied. Interesting stuff!

@will-b Very well put, the new way of attacking somebody is through tech - crazy how the worlds changed.

He is bullet proof isn't he?! He has this way of just literally deflecting everything bad about him.

Hi everyone, this is my first post here.

Sorry if it has already been discussed, but how worried are you that the value of the pound is gonna plummet in case of a No Deal Brexit?

    It’s already plummeted lol

In the last month or so I’ve been convinced at different times that backing Trump and Laying Trump is definitely the right thing thing to do so I’m staying clear for now as I can’t make up my own mind!

As the discussions on this thread prove, Trump is hugely divisive, there are a massive number of people behind him and against him but neither of these groups will win or lose him the election. It’s the middle ground of people who just want to vote for the least bad option who will decide it and their decision will be shaped by whoever ends up standing against Trump and perhaps most importantly by what that person says in the 6 moths running up to the election.

The assassination point is an interesting (albeit morbid!) one. In the 1960s if the CIA wanted rid of a president then I do believe assassination was a legit option they would consider. These days it’s a different world and I think character assassination is more likely the approach they (or other organisations) would take given the sophisticated ways they must have to frame someone in the media. However Trump has proved that literally no amount of dirt can tarnish his reputation in the eyes of his followers so when it comes to this modern form of assassination he is seemingly bullet proof!

    Really well put

@John-Folan interested in your thoughts but around 2.0 looks value to me on Trump winning re-election. Since the early 1930's only 2 Presidents have failed to win.

Serious value. I think he is nailed on. The democrats are too busy arguing amongst themselves and they don’t have a big personality they can put up against them. Trump has made his move by making the democratic focus on the AOC ladies. They are coming across as hardline nutters. The Americans won’t like that. Also the economy is doing well and more money in people’s pockets means they are less likely to rock the boat with a change in administration.
