@Will-B yes was going to say this, it will get loads of votes inside the party but the majority of the public & press will perceive this the wrong way. Will push the price I think.

This may well help him win votes from Conservative party members but in the short term it will definitely give him plenty of negative press so should see his odds bump up a little.
