@charles-cartwright as a Dolphins fan I could see that coming all day, actually Belichick tried to be lenient and they slowed a lot compared to last week not really trying to score big.

    Today's pick

    Went with a treble today:

    Seattle @ Pittsburgh (-4) Steelers
    N England @ Miami (+21.5) Dolphins
    Philly (-2) @ Atlanta Eagles

Modified the spread on the Pats game to be greater than 3TD and still got 1.57!

    1pt risked at 5.7.

So much for that. Watched a bit of the Pats game and it was frankly embarrassing.

Will prob go back in on the Eagles because I really think they are going to beat the Falcons comfortably.

Had a nice back to lay on seattle. when i heard Big ben was out of the game that was my entry and then i had a small stake taken out at 1.62 then some @1.22 left a little in hoping to hedge at 1.11 didn't happen so hedged out at 1.2

have a stake with the chiefs at 1.87 and 2.12 can't see chiefs going 3 and out all game.

    Greened up @ 1.5 @ 1.22

Amazed you can back Patriots at 1.07, should be 1.02 max anyone who doesn't mind backing short odds this is quite simply value in my book.

37-0 nearly end of game, as close to free money as you will ever see there!

    Picks for tonight's game.

Panthers looked decent at home last week in just going down to the Rams and Tampa were horrible in their first game. If you can get on with Carolina at less than a TD then I think that is a solid pick. I expect there to be points in this game and think the O/U line is a bit low at 49.5.

I risked most of my +2.4 gain from Sunday on this one:

Panthers (-6.5) to win and cover 1pt LOST -1
    Over 49.5 pts 1pt LOST -1

Well that didn't work out at all! Even had Carolina scored that last TD still would have gone down on both bets. So now back down to +0.4. Back on Sunday!

I waas on -6.5 as well mate, thought Mcaffrey would rip the bucs D to shreds... was wrong :(.

Just looked it up and the largest spread in at least recent history was when Denver (5-0) at the time played Jackonsville (0-5) back in 2013 when the line was 26.5. Denver won but came nowhere near covering.

Anything above 3 TDs and I will be tempted to get on. That's a huge number and history is against the cover.

Interesting stuff that πŸ™‚ . I've just done some more digging and found that the spread has never been covered by a road fav -16, it's 0/5 all time. It's only been covered 3 times in the last 36 when it's been -14. I'm tempted by it 🀣 .

Nothing stands out to me this week, if Pats line was below 14 I would have been all over it (it opened at 14.5). Hopefully be more next week when we have more data from this season to go on!

@ben-watts I thought Pats were at home, if they were it would be around 30pts I reckon!

    @charles-cartwright well done!

Dolphins @ Pats next week, we in for biggest line in history?

Its at +17 right now which is pretty crazy for an NFL game, especially in Week 2. Based on how they both played yesterday though that seems about right to me and I have no clue why Belichick wants to deal with the AB s@%tshow.

It’s 18.5 now. Seems like an overreaction to me... but I’ve been proved wrong before πŸ˜‚.

Does look like a bit generous for the first game of the season. Saints are typically slow starters too.

I am dabbling in the exchange market. Laid the Saints at 1.37 hoping for a decent start by the road dog and a quick cashout.

Traded out at 1.63 after Texans score first.

Did you watch it until the end Charles? Crazy last few minutes! πŸ˜€.

Yeah it was a great finish. Was very glad I didn't have anything in the market at that point. I do like laying the fav in games like that where there is a decent chance that there will be a fair amount of back and forth early on in the game.

@charles-cartwright yeh getting involved in the AB storm is an interesting one. But is an exciting move for the pats if they can get him in the same form as last few Seasons.
