@Richard-Latimer I absolutely did forget today, apologies. I fully accept that if the adjudicators decide the result can't stand, I'll happily take it on the chin.
If it's any consolation my other filter took a drubbing today (b****dy Bundesliga and Belgians)
All that discussion in the morning. I trust you

Salzburg v Sturm Graz. 1.25
Mallorca v Alaves. 1.67Result 5/5 wins = 1.70 pts

@Alastair-Todd Did you forget to post these as I can't see them anywhere and I was wondering where your Sunday selections were

Just the one today:
Min Price 3.15 - Max Price 6.6
Currently 0-2 so +£9.80 for the day.
Running Total +£199.30 -
@Alastair-Todd It would be higher by the way. Pretty sure. That's the formula you need to convert it. =1/(back odds)+1
Then again that's lay to back conversion haha! Just checked and it's more or less the same.

@Alastair-Todd I said the same about the laying. It's theoretical money anyway for this so if you wanted to convert your back odds to lay odds and change you score so to speak based on £10 lay stakes I wouldn't have a problem.
If any of us are going to win I think we want to win fairly. What say you @Martin?
Richard, the reason that I have been a little more conservative and backed instead of laying, is because I am using my own money. I must have missed the memo that said we were doing this theoretically
If I gave myself +£9.80 for each win and then taken the loss of about £30-£40 for each loss (i'd have to work out how to convert to lay odds) then I think my total would be very different. Could be higher or lower, not sure.
That's fair enough. I am too but with higher stakes. Can easily swap it around and lay theoretically for £10 but back with real money. In any case it's totally your call of course.

@Richard-Latimer - Already learning a lot of mathematical tricks on here
Just need to make sure the Strategy is sound - coming up to about 300 matches now so need to interrogate results soon.
-
@Andy-Donnelly This is fair but if you're having a lot of high odds losers you probably need to remove them from play. In general the odds will follow the s/r to a certain degree. My odds under 3.5 are perhaps at 82%, 3.55-7.4 is around 91% and then 7.6 to 11.00 is much higher again.

U1.5 lays for today:
12:30 - Paderborn v Hamburg @ 5.2
13:15 - Lugano v Zurich @ 4.5
16:00 - Salzburg v Sturm Graz @ 4.5
16:30 - Jagielliona v GKS @ 5.6
19:45 - Marseille v Nantes @ 5.7 -
@Richard-Latimer I find that it depends on where the majority of what your profit is coming from and what the average odds are of your winners and losers.
Most of the time most of your losers will come in the lower odds and when that happens laying is definitely the more profitable staking plan.
However if your strategy gets most of its success from the shorter odds selections, then in those cases backing may prove to be better option. As always to quote Martin and Ryan, easier enough to test both options side by side
-
@Nikki-HALSALL I'd say everyone should be laying in this to level the playing field but that's just my opinion.
A good laying strategy will outstrip a good backing strategy with the same s/r and odds if done to £10 stakes every single time.

Been rocky of late, in recovery, very interested in looking at Laying rather than backing - data collection begins......
In the meantime today's back O 1.5

Martin is there an updated table or are we still on the 9th Feb version? I think Richard and Andy are running away with it but it would be fun to see where we stragglers are in their wake!
Can all change very quickly. Andy was on £190 until recently.
